just for note Beaconsfield 's game v Arlesy last night 21feb was also called off....due to state of the pitch after last saturdays game..

we hope for some dry weather to enable the pitch to be sorted.

By 'sorted' Chris I presume you mean tended to by somebody i.e. a groundsman, after last Saturdays Beaconsfield game.

I don't know but is it only in dry weather that pitches can tended to to get them playable again?

The groundsmen who do a hard job, and are only volunteers at Beaconsfield and both are in their 60's .

Can not get equipment on the pitch to enable them to get it ready ..its muddy and needs it to dry out properly.

Yes the pitch is taking a hammering right now with the weather so wet and bad..the only way it will improve would be to have a full time

groundsman, and these don't come cheap ... its a problem Beaconsfield know they have.

See my article regarding a 4G pitch ....on the message board under youth match postponements..

With another game off tonight away at Barton ..is proving a good example of the way we should be going in the future ?

chris Sliski - Personally
