ESL Reserves section can be reactivated.Would it be a good thing?Anyone interested?

To be honest i cant see the Essex and Herts coming back and apparentely many ESL teams arent happy with their reserves playing in the Olympian League so its a possibility,if such a Division was formed it needs to learn lessons from the dissolution of the Essex and Herts and teams should supply their own linesmen and NO FLOODLIGHTS!!!

whats wrong with the olympain league fair enough some of the grounds r poor but the standard is decent dont get me wrong a res senior league would be good but u would have to play some mid week game due to cup and games getting called off but it would only work for me if the whole league put sides in so it was the same as the first team league

I would like to see 2nd year u18s pulled out of the EJA. Let the 1st years compete in that. Mix the 2nd years in with players returning from injury etc and that way I think you will have a very competitive reserve structure filled with players trying to push on into the 1st team. So...........to answer your question, yes it would.

When I started playing the Essex and Herts, Surburban Leagues were great introductions to semi pro football. Shame they have gone. More than one division, promotion, relegation. Think the Surburban League was better quality.

The Essex & Herts was a good standard a few years ago. Dagenham & Redbridge, especially in Ted Hardy's day always put out strong sides back then.
