ARTIFICIAL PITCHES

point one to be answerd : why cant non league football clubs reintoduce artifical pithces , more training can be done , matches wont be called off , more income from private hire , not many league clubs look at players from our divisions as to the surfaces we play on ,

point two : playinging surfaces can be changed if there is likelyhood of division two promotion

point three : some aspects of the long ball game might be surpassed by passing game on a nice surface winter games are here to stay .

point three : pitch management must be easier weeding, cutting, watering,

With regards to this, will go into more detail now my PC is working,

point one:-is it legal for artificial pitches to be used at our level???, with regards to the weather, what happens in heavy rain, would the referee still call it off because its dangerous. With regards to snow,it would only be worth having if we had a small army of volunteers to clear the pitch and surrounding areas of snow,as we have seen lately,we get a few people over, but probably only about 5% of our fan base to clear pitches and its always the same people.

with regards to income from other uses of the pitch,my only problem would be that the pitch could become over used, meaning it may have to be replace alot quicker than the 10 years its expected it would live for. Also has anyone taken into account the athletics club, doubt they would want us to have an artificial pitch as it means they would either not be able to do javelin or hammer throwing,or if they did completely ruin the pitch

Point 2,would they have to be changed, assuming we were to make it into division 2 one day,i would of thought by then that artificial pitches may be the norm as the technology will just get better and better

point 3:-yes,would be easier to play football on,assuming it is a decent surface

point 3(2) Pitch management would be limited to picking up rubbish and the odd repair, they usually wear quite well.

Even if LBH were prepared to pay for it, I doubt if you would get permission to use the floodlights seven days a week in a built up residential area, and even then would it be financially viable. Football should be played on grass, end of.
