I think he played very well from what I saw. I heard his first couple of games were a little shaky, but after that I was more and more impressed. This makes it a bit harsh on him that Rob Bullivant has come in, but Rob's clearly very experienced and will be a real asset. I hope we can hold on to Charlie as well.

Well done Charlie, It's completely deserved with the performances you have been putting in, especially with the first goal being a flukey bounce that could shatter anyones confidence

Yep, well deserved, he came in and played very well, even with the slightly shaky defence in front of him. Lots of talent there and we should make sure we hold onto him as a long term prospect.

The player of the month award is deserved just for that save against Hitchin.

No disrespect to Charlie who did alright, particularly against Hitchin, but I’m absolutely amazed Paul Coyne didn’t win for January. Even taking into account a stupid sending off he’s been absolutely outstanding since the New Year.

I have to agree with you.Before the New Year I wasn't totally covinced that Paul Coyne was the mercurial player everyone kept on about but the last couple of months he's been outstanding and should really be the player of the month.However,his temperament leaves a lot to be desired and so I can understand the fans view that Charlie Fanner deserves it.

Agree, think Charlie had a great month but Paul Coyne was excellent IMO. Shame we keep on getting games postponed as he'll miss Saturday now (if it's on!)

I'm with Mark, I thought Coyne was outstanding in January and he certainly got my vote. Charlie did well and has fantastic potential but I for one am glad we signed Bully on for the rest of the season. A lot of games coming thick and fast now so think the strength in the squad could prove crucial. Hope Charlie sticks with us though, he is a very bright prospect and we have seen enough young keepers slip by the wayside in the last few years.

I think there are two reasons why Paul Coyne did not get player of the month for January, firstly it was his ability to pick up cards for decent regardless of how good a performance he gives on the pitch i.e. the Woodford game where he was nailed on for the man of the match and then got himself sent off putting the rest of the team under presure, and secondly more people voted for Charlie than Paul!
