Heard today that they were to be deducted 6 points because of inacurate paperwork for a player who resigned for them from Nuneaton Town.

Even if that is the case they will still be on 42 points having played only 24 games - right in the middle of the playoff fight!

Nothing's 'nailed on' for anyone. It's still far too early, so much can change!

I'm afraid my initial impression of Daventry was not very good.

 

From start to finish they moaned and winged to the Ref. and tried to spoil the game at every opportunity.

 

IMO a 6 point deduction would be a fitting penalty and hopefully keep them out of the play-offs.

Talking of point deductions, saw a mention about Atherstone on the Hitchin forum saying they might not last the season.

 

With their results removed from the league that could leave Slough with a 6 point deficit.

Daventry possibly getting docked 6 points for dodgy paperwork, claims from Burnham that the players not being payed and Jarvo jumping ship, Atherstone on the edge of folding, Beaconsfield taking on Mudge, Walton and half the Windsor team who will then take their caravans back to Stag meadow in August, and finaly Man City who are paying stupid money for players but who only attract one man and his dog!

 

All of these are directly having an adverse effect on the leauge table and messing up the legitimate teams seasons.

Couldn't agree more. Dillon is probably now the highest paid player in the division.

 

On the subject of Atherstone, Man City are due to play them again Tuesday week (after Beaconsfield tomorrow night and AFC Hayes next Saturday). So by then they will probably have passed our goal difference. Both fans will be ecstatic.

 

p.s. if any of you go tomorrow night, would be really interested to know how many they take. You'll probably see more of our lads!
