At least Dick Turpin wore a mask !

Following our much discussed game last week at Horley.

I have been informed today that both clubs have recieved a fine

after the referee decided to add it on his sheet at the end of the game.

No one from either bench was booked or sent of and both only had two standing.

The official has given no reason why and apparantly we will not be told why we have been fined and cannot appeal this decision.

This is a complete disgrace.

Not only did the clown get most decisions wrong he has decided to cost both clubs money without anything to back it up !

What a plank !

At the risk of getting another badly written and poorly spelt tirade from Padlock it goes without saying that as a devoted Egham Town fan I can only agree. This decision by the referee and the league takes arrogance to a whole new level. If anything this should pull the two clubs closer together, as we have both been tarred with the same brush by a man who got so many decision wrong he barely deserves to referee at Under 9 level. With this arbitrary decision the CCL management committee have really cocked up. Remember the ref's name: W Davis. I wonder where he is spreading his love this afternoon?

Why would the League be involved Tempestward? - Diciplinary matters are County FA decisions, to whom the Ref would have sent his report. Doubt very much if the CCL are involved at all.

Could be a League fine due to breach of League rules

Always of the belief thet if a referee is going to report a team to the league they should put this on the crime sheet so the club(s) are aware

Couldn't agree with you more Footy Mad - that's the whole reason for the 'crime sheet' so the clubs have knowledge of what fines to expect

I find it hard to believe that the reason for the fine is not being stated. If it is a breach of league rule then this should be explicitly stated when the fine is issued.

I'm not convinced we are hearing the full story.

Thanks for possibly digging me out of a hole, guys. I assumed it was the league who would impose the fine. Whoever it is should, I hope, allow the clubs to appeal. However even if they do I am not hopeful of a positive outcome.
