Atmosphere on a Matchday

Fat Tom Daley

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I know this has been mentioned quite a bit but how can we recreate the eastside atmosphere from the past as the vocal support (i feel) is lacking. I am bringing to upcoming games with new flags and trying to get more people who I know on the terrace as it might get it buzzing again. If we get behind the boys more, especially as we approach the business end of the season, it might produce big results!

Is there any other ideas to get the terrace buzzing again?

Speaking of clothes,I saw an 80 year old bloke driving a disability scooter wearing a stone island jacket, only in Romford

He must have rode in from hornchurch then. A proper (old) Romford Boy would have worn a parka, Ben Sherman shirt and hush puppies, and had a college boy haircut.

out of interest, where does everyone get their flags made?

Could try here, think this is the one my mate used for a St George flag with 'UPMINSTER' and a crossed hammers... some sites can be a tad pricey but then it's a one off outlay I suppose.

And some massive flags.

A definition of English Ultras

There is a wave that has been hitting British Football Grounds in the past couple of years. Ultras. Now, don't see the word and be terrified of Italian skinhead knife wielding football hooligans, that's not what being an Ultra is all about. British Ultras are all non-violent groups, focussed with the sole purpose of getting behind their team, through traditional flag displays, chanting, and similar. Ultras (Latin word deriving from ultrÄ, meaning beyond in English, with the implication that their enthusiasm is 'beyond' the normal. There are four key points to being an Ultra, all of which must be obeyed, these are:

  • Never Stop singing or chanting during a match, regardless of scoreline.
  • Never sit down during a match
  • Attend as many games as possible, home and away, regardless of distance/cost.
  • Loyalty to a particular stand, for example, the Eastside.

I think we are Eastside Ultras

Hereby the movement called "EASTSIDE ULTRAS" is Born.

Tomorrow will be known as ULTRA SATURDAY

Bring things to the game which will either make noise or show a support for the team,

IE FLARES(if allowed),bog roll,tickertape etc etc

LETS [censored] HAVE IT
