petition

Apoligies for a new topic but I want someone to clear this up quickly. Someone stated earlier that you must put your address in the petition comments. However is the e-mail address not proof, as it states that it is mandatory and cannot be accepted without it.

Secondly the comments part has only limited characters so a full address cannot be added.

One other point is that you cannot place different names on the petition from the same e-mail address. We use the same address as a family but it will not accept the address more than once. Living in Croydon we will not all be able to sign the paper petition.

Careful, people get a prison sentence for fraud.

Steve, you can go over the I support petition and put your address in, regarding the multi people using your family EMail, maybe Wellsie can help on that one?

Sanderson, I usually ignore your comments, but you really are a prize PRAT!! There is no malice in it. I have have 5 adults in the family and 3 of us use the same e-mail address. We are all entitled to vote. So clear off and wallow in our dissappointment a bit longer, because it won't last.

The petition is set up to minimise duplicate signatroies so that's something we'll just have to live with. Alan's right about the address - just over type where it is pre-populated with "I support ...." We have to be sure about providing validation information to support the petition. In this case, and based on advce, we're asking for people to include their address.

Wellsie

I have added a news article to Minster Football Clubs website trying to get votes for the petition. Many of us have played for Margate FC at one time or another whether it was in the reserves or at youth level. I hope that is ok.

The only way to make the change is to delete your petition account and start again I'm afraid.

See a certain Ramshite fan has put the link to the petition on their forum, how kind, mind you he is still a to$$er :biglaugh:

We have lost a battle but not the war. Should things NOT go the way we wish Ian & his comrades should be aware that their future may hang in the balance with a final refusal. If we can't go forward with this, bearing in mind our ground, even as it is,is far far better than theirs then they have absolutely NO chance of improving things in the future. Ian can wollow in this for the moment but I would suggest to him he takes a wider view on this before celebrating.

We sent a team down to Southwood a few years back for a friendly to help raise funds for a new roof on their stand. So we've helped them in the past.

One of the reasons RFC is ignored by the people of Ramsgate is the extremely low calibre of some of the creatures linked to the club and who sully its reputation.

Looking at the petition it appears that the majority of entries do not have an address. I don't want to harp on about this, but, if this is a proper petition site, why is there no place for an address. My question is whether an address is required for a petition entry to be accepted online as only one entry can be made from an e-mail address. Is it the club insisting on this or the council,?

There have been 97 entries so far and it appears that only about 50% have supplied an address. At this rate a lot will be disregarded, and looking at the mix of entries this will be a great shame.

for those who have already singed up To add missing addresses I hope Wellsie will again tell you on this thread.

click the link Wellsie gave you to the pettion. http://www.petitiono...evelopment/2452

At the top it says "log in". Log in with the e.mail address & password you originally gave.

Then near the top (having clicked) it shows your profile.Click on the "profile" & delete your vote.

Then start again by signing in at Wellsies link to the petition ( as shown above) but as mentioned, where it says "I support this petition" either delete those words & or add your address.

Then click to have you & your address show on the petition.(You may have to visit your e.mail "in box" again to click to confirm".All takes less than a minute).
