Both teams need a win,so all out attacking Football from the start.But saying that 2 Good Keepers in Ameyaw and McBride who have been outstanding this season for their Teams.Better than sitting indoors watching the Prima Donnas for sure.

SO ANYWAY, I'M AGAIN IN THE COMFORT OF MY FRONT ROOM WATCHING FOOTBALL ON HOW IT SHOULD BE PLAYED, ON THE GROUND AS OPPOSED TO THE AIR, AND LETS BE HONEST, WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD WANT TO GO TO THE ARENA ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT ? AFTER BATTLING WITH THE HORRENDOUS TRAFFIC YOU'VE GOT THE SOULESS PLACE OF THE ARENA...... ONCE WAS ENOUGH FOR ME AND THAT WAS ON A SATURDAY ... LOL !!!

 

EVEN LAST NIGHT PROVED MY CASE IN REFUSING TO GO TO WEMBLEY 'COS OF THE TRAFFIC WAS A NIGHTMARE IT SEEMS, COS IT TOOK CHERTSEY FAN 1 HR 45 MINS !.......... CROYDON WILL BE NO DIFFERENT,

Went from Sutton BR station to Arena (Tramlink) in 28 minutes for our Vase game v Witney United.

Notwithstanding my earlier "ironic" comment - there should be goals tonight at the Arena, come along - as Smudge implies, better than festering in front of the box..

 

I had enough of watching Barcelona (in the guise of Spain) bore the pants of everyone at the World Cup. Then the arrogant tippy tappy Xavi criticises English football for being too direct, at least it keeps you awake. And Messi has a double chin, so there.

 

And as for the difficulty getting there - apart from the fact that it depends where your coming from - it's only 10 minutes away from a big rail hub at East Croydon - they're not called the Trams for nothing.....

A great game to watch if you were a Dorking Fan.The Playing surface was immaculate as per usual and a thoroughly deserved win for the Chicks.Manager Peter (bucker)Buckland had his troops up for this 6 pointer,and had them firing on all four cylinders.Joe Loyzui and Leroy Hyett tore the Croydon backline to pieces with their pace and skill,ex Croydon boys Asa and Jamie Nicholls excelled against their old club.Dorking had a penalty saved as well by the impressive Francis Ameyaw(if only that lad had been coached)

 

 

 

A well deserved win 4-1 did not flatter them in the least.Manager Peter Buckland may of found the key to Dorkings Relegation battle in the strike force of Joe Loyzui and Leroy Hyett,pace and skill to burn.A great night also for the Rixon Nicholls

brothers returning back to play against their old club.Croydon were outplayed all over the park,their only shining lights was Gareth Graham who worked tirelessly all night and Keeper Ameyaw.Ref was excellent,lino got one wrong that led to Dorkings 3rd goal

.Money well spent,enjoyable evening in the fresh air,met a few old friends,and signed up a new GOLD MEMBER.

Interesting debate Barsenal v Arcelona or Croydon v Dorking ... The answer would seem obvious but is it . I watched most of the TV game last night and whilst it probably broke records for the numbers of short passes completed I probably enjoyed the match I saw the previous night in Tolworth more . Excellence or excitement.. I'd prefer excitement really. Probably because the defending on show was less than optimum there were getting on for 20 clear goalscoring chances for each side and the fact it only finished 3-2 said something about the finishing too .

 

Also enjoyed the fresh air and chats , better than a solitary night in front of the TV . I think sometimes we under estimate how good our own hobby can be . Went to a premier league game at Bolton when on holiday and it wasn't that great for £ 28 I could see Birmingham attempt to hold a 2-0 lead against 10 men by sticking to a rigid 4-5-1 and wasting time as much as they could - no wonder only 300 followed them up the motorway . Most weeks I see better than that for £6 .

 

I exclude any Epsom Camberley game I've seen this season because they've bored me floppy .

very accurate report i thought as well smudge, not a classic but some good football played in spells, good evening for us, and i would like to go on record as saying how hospitable our hosts were, not a sour grape in sight after the match! nice to see ccl"s most ardent fan last night, see you at meadowbank saturday smudge?
