PLEASE!!!!!! If you can, include your address as requested.

The guidance is in this thread, on the official website and on the petition description as well. Don;t forget, you will be asked to include your address with the paper petition too. Also, the period of time that this petition will sit on the web is limited. We MUST move quickly on this so the whole petition witll be removed within a few weeks.

Not sure there are too many more places I can put the guidance, but I do appreciate you guys spreading the word.

The paper petition by the way, is in the 5's reception area, so it can be signed there during the evening as well as durgin office hours and of course at Saturday's game.

On the question about emailing in suport to the club, I really don't know if that will be allowable as a part of the petition. My guess is not as the e-petition includes some built in validation whereas a seperate email received and printed off doesn't.

I think the reason that Steve may be getting a little bit flustered is that the Petitions signees would be preferably from the Thanet area so addresses are almost as important as names, pointless going to the meeting with 1500 names from all over the country although nice having support from friends it might be detrimental to the petitions cause.

Steve, can you explain why we need 1300 signatures of support for the council to take notice, when they have taken notice of 500 against!!!

He may not want to as there could be so many ******'s in an appropriate reply that the meaning might be lost.

I guess TDC will deny they have taken notice of 500 anyway. but do need 1300 to consider any petition.

A petition of 1,300 get's us a chance to put the case for the development to full Council. As we said in the official stement on the official club websiet: "Margate Football Club are also organising a petition to gather local support for the project. Our objective is to obtain at least 1,300 signatories in favour of the development; the number required to trigger an opportunity to present the case in favour of the development directly to the full Council."

We will bring together the paper and on-line petition - both of which require a signature AND address - to give us our 1,300 signatures.

You can see the headline guidance on petitions on the TDC website.

Like most- despite the anti petition, i am a bit bemused that the council has asked for a new application if the new hotel scheme is simply for a reduction in rooms numbers.

However, MFC does not specifically state that the hotel footprint is the same.

If there is a variation in the footprint of the hotel, i believe the council is perfectly legitimately asking for a new application.

Could the club advise if the footprint for the travelodge hotel is the same as the original application .

As a fully paid up member of the council tax club which provides funding for TDC to operate and would provide a lot more if everybody had a job I hope this is a valid planning rejection as I don't really fancy paying towards the compensation costs if TDC are wrong.

Keep those names and ADDRESSES coming please.

Thanks wellsie-thats good to read.

Is the ground floor footprint within the original footprint-or does it take up more space at ground floor level ?

Will the plans also be available at the club to view on saturday as well as at the public meeting ?

I guess that once we have the names and addresses of the 1300 petitioners we can than send transport to their houses so they can attend the matches every week.

Just a suggestion !!!!!!

Yes, within the original hotel footprint, amd even wthin the stadium boundary!!!

As or plans this Saturday - may be not this week (I'll check) as we're getting the large scale pics produced for the meeting. I'd certainly want to make them available at other tiems at the club too.
