East Thurrock vs Romford

Romford seem to have gone off the boil recently, perhaps they have thought that going up may not be the best thing financially

I wouldn't think the financial implications of promotion would differ much from what they are now. The slight increase in travelling costs should hopefully be offset by bigger gates, and more away supporters.

It looks like Needham Market will go up as champions, and ETU are probably the second best side, but the playoffs are a lottery and anything can happen, so a Havering local derby could still be on the cards for next season, with six easy points for the Boro to look forward to.

To be honest you would have to splash the cash a bit to stay up in the ryman prem and not sure if Romford would, don't get me wrong if you did come up and stay up spending no money, with gritted teeth I would be the first to congratulate you but can't see it happening to be honest

Even though we have had some bad results lately, so have all the teams around us so a playoff place is still ours to lose. Not sure if spending money is even an option, but whats got us into this position is a great manager and a brilliant team spirit, rather than expensive, high profile mercenary players, so staying up, if we are lucky enough to get promoted, shouldn't be a problem as long as we keep hold of Magic.

Have to say that Grays looked very useful on Saturday and could well be in the final mix as well.

Problem may be that players who suddenly go into ryman prem will inevitably want to be paid the same as others in the league

It wouldn't surprise me if the majority of RPL clubs find themselves unable to pay their players next season, which would put us on a level playing field, although to be fair, for a club of our size and limited resource's, just remaining in the RLN is quite an achievement, although I'm sure out aspirations will be different when one of those elusive money men come to our rescue.
