Jacko is having a hard time at the moment according to his twitter. On loan at Ascot - 1st game got caught in traffic to Bracknell and missed kick off, cup tied last Saturday and the game tonight called off after he travelled to Wootton Bassett.

Arlesey win again, games in hand on Hitchin and ned to play each other twice. Can Arlesey do a Bury? I hope not as Hitchin deserve it.

The league table is quite interesting now that Daventry have gone above us into 3rd place. We are down to 5th, but only Aylesbury beneath us have a game in hand (on same points), all the other teams around chasing that last playoff spot have played equal or one more games to us.

New signing Chris Dillon got 2 of the goals. He was Nuneaton's top scorer last season and looks like a major signing for (too skint to give us a refund) Arlesey.

I think we are better than at least three of the sides in that list, maybe four. I'd still back us to finish third, though I feel it may be in our interests to finish fourth or fifth so we have away tie(s) in the playoffs. Not that we'll have a choice of where we finish of course!

I think we will finish 4th too behing Hitchin, Arlesey and Daventry.

 

I think we will play Daventry in semi's and possibly other game will be Arlesey v Rugby

As an interested outsider I think you have strengthened at the right time and are peaking at the right time.

 

Arlesey are also doing the same and along with Daventry, you are all form teams.

 

I think (hope) the league placings will finish as they are now.

 

We still have to go to Marlow, Aylesbury and Leighton, which won't be easy but they are winnable. We also have Biggleswade at home which will be tough because many of the players are ex Hitchin. We still have to play Arlesey twice but I think because of the close proximatey of the two clubs and again mix of ex Arlesey players in our team and vice versa, that we will be very up for it.

 

I'm pleased that we have played both yourselves and Daventry twice as they would be very tough games for us given the current form.

 

Biggleswade are stronger than the other play off wannabes, Rugby have dipped at the wrong time and I expect Biggleswade to secure the last play off place, possibly finishing 4th above yourselves, as you still have to go to Woodford, Arlesey, Barton, Rugby, Burnham, Daventry and Leighton.

 

I think finishing 5th would suit yourselves as we saw last season. Hopefully you would play Arlesey and not us, and you have experienced players capable of lifting their game for play offs and a fanbase capable of being the extra man. Whoever finishes 2nd will have just missed out on promotion and feel very deflated, I can speak from experience. Also Arlesey won't have the support on the terraces to lift their team as Slough can. Your fans were a credit to your club in that play off game and certainly gave you an edge.
