Barking 1-2 Burnham

 

Burnham had penalty saved in first 90 secs. Barking number 10 scored a worldy from fully 30 yards top bin. Great goal. Burnham scored 2 in last 10 minutes of first half through Dan Williams & Bradley Nobbs. We should have won by a much larger margin, at the last count I think we had hit the woodwork 5 times. Saying that had to rely on a brilliant save from Jack Parr in injury time from a header after a Barking corner

Very disappointing crowd especially as a local derby, even though it was absolutely chucking it down for the first half, wasnt sure if the game would get completed.

Makes you wonder if the village want a team.

always the way isnt it,what else can people do for a fiver nowdays?? a nice little bar there as well.when you had the run last season where you were scoring nine goals every week your crowds went down !!!

Prob don't help that 95% of the team come from London maybe if u get a couple local boys coming through the crowds mite start going up I have heard the res r the same

Why would local players matter? People should support the club not the players. Players come and go but the club remain constant. At Aveley there are 5 new players every week. That is frustrating as you can not build a relationship with them as a fan. If Stansted have a settled and successful team then why oes it matter if the players come from London or anywhere. I would rather have a successful team consisting of players from London then a poor team full of the local boys!
