any thoughts on the lammas game, from our 3 men on the scene.coffee%20%282%29.gif

It was a very very weird evening for me! Quite possibly the worst half of football I've ever played, followed by a million times better in the second half. For some reason I kept passing to Lammas players (maybe because the blue kit ) and every ball i tried to play down the line or cross into the box I kept shanking and putting out of play :flame:

I was on the verge of asking to be dragged because I wasn't helping and then walking off for the break the Gaffer said he was pulling me after five minutes, but some how I woke up and started to play and stayed on for the full 90!

Thoughts on the game, well on a horrible pitch, chances in the first half were limited, but Lammas had the better of the possesion. Lammas took the lead midway through the first half when a corner was half cleared but found an unmarked player on the edge of the box who had the composure to take a touch and smash it home!

Second half started much the same as the first for the first five minutes with Lammas hitting the bar and forcing our keeper to save onto the bar a minute later. Then Feltham woke up and started to get the ball down and play some decent football but lacking the killer instinct in the final third, maybe that's because we had no strikers in the squad? Again and again we pushed forward and Lammas passing and overall play seriously went to pot. Even had to laugh at their manager Nathan when someone miss placed a pass - 'Jamie you useless cu*t....Infact.....YOU'RE ALL CU*TS' haha, it was funny but at the same time we knew we'd ratteled them a bit by waking up for the game. A few more wild efforts following some great build up play before Dillon our left back run from just inside our half taking on two players before a neat one two and then drilling home from 25 yards to level the game with twenty minutes to go.

From here on in I don't recall Lammas having a shot. We had another two or three chances before the end, most notable chance in the last minute when again after fantastic build up our forward was sent clear one on one and smashed the ball which seemed to be heading into the bottom corner, but he was denied by a worldy save at full stretch by the Lammas keeper and the ball cannoned off the bar!

Overall a fair result but I think if Lammas are honest they may feel slightly lucky to have not been beaten after our 'clearer cut chances'. I didn't get to introduce myself to Animal so not sure on his thoughts, but I was glad he was on the other wing to me  Last night was also the worst display I've personally seen from a Lammas side. The quality is there no question, but maybe it was an off night?

I continually hear weve got this player an that player an our squad is the best its ever been from some lammas individuals when infact it hasnt been the same for say two seasons when the majority of players left myself , coombs, hammer, azagba, webb, johnson, stone, greenwood tho he has returned ! The lammas was the same group of lads every year like wp are ........ Mates! Perhaps too many left At a crucial time when we couldnt get promoted alot went to play higher in prem an some stayed that went to a club with there own ground that could take them up if in promotion places!! I think its jus a blip this year for lammas an next year therel be stronger an wiser !

yea fair report wattsy, yea you should of pointed ya self out.

A game of 2 halves for me, first half i feel the game should of dead and buried, George Baldock missing 2 glorious chance with one being a 1 on 1, tony hadley also missed a free header from 6 six yards, so we had the chances. Second half Feltham battered us all over the park winning the 1st and 2nd balls. Feltham did have good chances to take the lead and finally got rewarded through the little left back who i thought played well. i had the joy to play against him in an unfamiliar right wing role. Feltham then had a 1 on 1 at the death to nick it but from a great save made by ade. lammas havent won in 8 games now since westfield in january, not looking good for us at all and its worrying times for the club who hope to push for promotion next year, not with that squad we wont. all the best for the rest of the year wattsy, im sure your survive relegation if you play like that all the time.

you know what we did have a good squad at the start of the season, 26 players signed on and fighting for places but and around 11 players have left due to the fact they cant handle nathan, i.e shouting abuse at them, players in the team are so low on confidence at the moment its unreal, George Baldock, young , raw talent scored 19 goals this year but is on abit of a dry patch at the mo, gets grilled for everys shot he misses, the boys 19 and a great prospect and he hasnt got 1 bit of confidence, same as Jamie lee u got called a cu** like wattsy said. we are losing decent players due to getting grilled. we do miss players like newby, coombsy , webb, lads with banter in them, players with experinece amd players that can get the team motivated. Lammas is fantastic for banter , probably 1 of the friendliest team ive played for but as soon as we get on the pitch the confidence goes. i also think its down to the pressure of being able to go up, the last 2-3 seasons we have been on and on at the chairmans saying whats the point of playing because we cant go up anyway, we won 2 league titles in a row and all for nothing and now that we know we can go up after paying alot of money to groindsharen i think the pressure has got to the whole of the club, manager, players and chairmans! i know for a fact not 1 player is enjoying playing there at the moment including myself which is a shame because i love that club but something has got to change drastically or all i can see is lammas further down the table.

I made a bold statement though tongue in cheekwhen i left lammas that they wouldnt win anything without me an the players that left so far its true i been at bedfont two seasons won middlx premier cup in first season an challenging for title this an still in cup

also lammas dont have a leader anymore an to many egos im afraid until thats sorted they will be there or thereabouts! ! Steve collins for me is a loss as nathans number two we hated his training chasing each other round a cricket pitch every session but we were the fittest team in the league an very close knit theres to many know it alls at lammas now
