Important game for us tonight and one in which we must get 3 points so it's imperative we get behind the team as aveley seem to have picked up a little with a good draw against kingstonian at the weekend.We are supposed to be getting some rain later,don't think it will be a problem but keep your eyes open on here just in case a few hands and brooms are needed to clear any water off the pitch

i was about to leave the house for the ground when me dad got a call to say it was off.

 

Tonbridge v Canvey has also been called off at about 19:20pm.

Yeah, went by train. Got to the ground about 6.25 and it was chucking it down with rain.

 

Guy on the gate said it had been raining for a while and they'd probably be a pitch inspection. Ref called the game off about 7pm. Ball wasn't bouncing or rolling properly and some parts of the pitch had some standing water which wasn't draining very quickly.
