Horsham v Margate updates

Still a bit disappointed with a point yesterday. Horsham look a poor side and we looked laboured as usual. Questions have to be asked of the fitness levels of the players. I know a couple are bound to be carrying injuries at this stage of the season, but all over the park we seem to be one step behind our opponents every week.

Ok, we've pulled off the odd very good result, such as on Tuesday, but it does look a lot like the players are being left to fend for themselves a bit too much. Players don't look sharp enough and for me that points to training. What's turnout like at training? Is there enough disclipline at training itself? Doesn't look like it to me.

Yeah, we're comfortably midtable. That in itself is fine. After the last two years I'll take that. But with crowds dropping at an alarming rate and interest waning, surely we need to be starting to look at where we're going next year, and how we revive interest. Are we happy with turgid home performances, and for me a lack of general fitness in a tight division where a bit of extra sharpness counts for a lot?

After Tuesday's performance it would have been silly to make any changes

No it isn't - round pegs in round holes - it's called effective football management!

Not getting into the slanging match, WW hasn't been well and not played for a few weeks so to start him yesterday would have been a bit of a gamble IMO.

Pridders, you are just full of hot air and stupid comments.

 Care to quantify that, rather than just making a one off stupid closed sentence?

If you actually read any comments I make, they mostly pretty measured and considered. If you cannot actually see that then don't bother reading them.

I am qualified, full stop. I've absolutely no desire whatsoever to manage outright again - non at all.

so you are a keyboard manager like the rest of us

btw....

who did you manage?

i used to be a manager

I realise Wayne has been out, and can see why you'd think it would be a bit of a gamble. It's just that Pinnock hasn't looked comfortable in that role, that's why I made the round peg comment. Obviously IOC knows the condition of his players better than I - but you understand the point I was making :)

Pinnock has been struggling with an injury and actually Wayne was probably closer to fitness yesterday even with a long lay-off. Never change a winning team etc, but no point playing a crocked player.

I'm not going to quantify myself to you cheesy%20%282%29.gif needless to say I've helfd the Full advanced Licence from 1993 (I believe I was actually the youngest full badge holder in the country at that stage), which (as an ex-manager you'll know) was then converted to UEFA 'A'. If I wantd to go back into football I would supply all the necessary.

Pridders, you are just full of hot air and stupid comments.

you forgot malicious

Malicious - where have I been malicious? by it's very nature that comment is actually liableous!

If you think I'm full of the proverbial don't read my posts, certainly if they're full of it you've no need to lower yourself or get upset to reply to someone like me who is obviously a failure and hasn't got a clue. That's just fine, you crack on.

Oh, read the posts - I never actually said I was specifically or specifically worked as a goalkeeping coach, I just mentioned it was a technical area where I specialise, due to going down that route with my final technical TPs, before we went to the SSG and Full TPs.

Liable for what? cheesy%20%282%29.gif

For saying I was being malicious - please show where I've been malicious: as in the meaning;

  1. (a.) With wicked or mischievous intentions or motives; wrongful and done intentionally without just cause or excuse; as, a malicious act.
  2. (a.) Indulging or exercising malice; harboring ill will or enmity.
  3. (a.) Proceeding from hatred or ill will; dictated by malice; as, a malicious report; malicious mischief.

Show me where I'm being perceived as malicious and you shall receive the apology it deserves!

If you two were girls, you'd be pulling each other's pigtails  (There should be a smiley for that!)
