Southport, well done in getting the draw info so quickly. Where did you get it from - it hasn't even appeared (as far as I can see) on the FA's own website yet!!!

BTW, is a certain Graham Roberts (of EFC fame) still connected with Carshalton???

Yep, looks like it probably is the highest placed team we could've drawn (think they're unbeaten in the league). Nice to have a home draw. Who knows, we've beaten Ryman Premier before and the lads have got absolutely nothing to lose! Carshalton won't like coming to the Brimmobeu. Come on the Town!

Let's not forget that we have another side in the F A Cup - the young heroes of Burnham Ramblers have a truly tasty tie ..... St Margaretsbury or Leighton Town ... what a chance !

Reckon EFC will get tanked by Hendon even if Hendon didn't look that good in pre-season.

If we play like we did against Hemel and Witham then we're well in with a chance. Bring 'em on.

I fancy Burnham's chances against either.

I went for a drink with a mate last season and ended up seeing Carshalton away at Bromley. They were bloody quick. The ex-Es that night were Graham Roberts (Manager, not on the pitch), Al-James Hannigan (on the pitch but slow) and Mark Pye (not even on the subs bench), so I can't help feeling they will still be bloody quick even without that lot!

I'm hoping that the Carshalton fans will be dispirited, though (and that this will affect their team), as it is one of their number who runs the "Beerhounds" website listing the real ale outlets around the Isthmian League (I used to be a pub tester, by the way) and the only cask conditioned beer close to Brimmo is the AK in the club bar. They have a number of very good pubs around their ground so maybe I should be hoping for a replay!

AND NOW YOU'VE GOT TO BELIEVE US!16/09/2003 (from NonLeagueDaily.com)

If people were wondering about Carshalton Athletic's chances of mounting a challenge for the Ryman League Premier Division championship, they must surely now be taking the Robins a little more seriously as they stretched their unbeaten record to ten games on Monday night

Even Carshalton's vastly experienced boss Billy Smith has expressed surprise at his team's results and performances to date, but he must be absolutely delighted nonetheless.

Monday saw the Robins secure another win and another three-point haul after a 2-0 win against Hayes at Colston Avenue.

Goals from Peter Wood and Michael Johnson secured Carshalton's seventh win from ten games and being quoted at 66/1 to win the title at the start of the season looks extremely generous now!

However, the acid test will come when Carshalton are eventually beaten. Billy Smith (pictured) and his equally experienced number two, George Wakeling, will earn their corn then and they know that. But for now Robins' supporters can simply enjoy themselves and look forward to Saturday's trip to struggling Heybridge Swifts.
