Hayes Gate 0 v 3 Warlingham

Recommended Posts

In the end a thoroughly deserved victory for Warlingham, but not before a few early scares from a fluid Hayes Gate side, who lacked composure in front of goal, but played nice passing Football,I will leave Tucks to fill you in with the details.About Hayes Gate, they play at Hanworth Town F.C.The pitch, playing surface, and surrounds were very tidy. The welcome and Hospitality First Class, the Clubhouse needs a bit of T.LC.,and only sells Bottled or Canned beer. Was informed that the Previous Manager took away 6 players including 2 decent strikers when he left.but saying that on their day they would be a match for any C.C.L.1 side, like to play Football on the floor, but at times overplay it,and do not shoot very often. Some of the players that played tonight were Rhys Price,Adam Bunce,Chris Fermie,Michallis Livesey,Danny Barrance,L.Gledhill,do not know any of them, but you middx lads might.Referee MR.S.Earl had a good game, but one of the linesman denied Hayes Gate 2 goalscoring opportunities, with wrong offside decisions, was informed he was the Secretary of the Middx F.A.,Nigel Hickes or Dave Lawton.Would like to thank Tucks for getting me their and back and for the Warligham Boys warm welcome.A THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE EVENING,AND A THANK YOU TO HAYES GATE FOR BEING EXCELLENT HOSTS.

I have been saying what a good passing side hayes are for a long time. not sure that the manager has took players with him. manager was mick harvey ex greenford and northwood among others. sure DT10 will know him. he told me he was having a rest from the game due to work comitments, have also been told there is a big doubt, weather H G will play at this level next season. i am also informed that when mick left, the artist formaly known as THE GATE also left. agree with smudge, nice people at HAYES GATE. coffee%20%282%29.gif

can the gate who only formed 3years ago really come up for one season and then drop down again surely this is not good for the league or the club. as they are a good footballing side and have a good ground (if not there own)

also with fboro north end and the gate possibly leaving next season that will leave 2 spaces up for grabs ?

Yes I know him and they have a very good side when they are all together but I think that is where the problem is that they cant get the same 11 out each week. I don't think they will be in the CCL next year but I could be wrong.

3 spaces if you include the odd number this season

Am I right in thinking that the league will now allow anyone in who doesn't have lights ?

I guess no one will be for the drop in Div 1 if two teams and one non runner need to be replaced.

Fantastic team display from my side last night with alot of changes and new faces coming in it was a risk we had to take to get our season back on track. Hayes did play decent football but with no end product and for the first time in weeks we took our chances and got the victory we deserved. Sets us up nicely for the game at home to south park on saturday.

Thanks for the correction Chris, you are right Hanwell Town F.C.A little birdie told me last night that the rent for playing at Hanwell is £8k per year which was doubled from £4k when new owners took over.Crowd last night 20+ @ £3 per head = £60 Offficials Fees £100,so every game they play at home a loss of £440,no income from Matchday Food or Bar.Was also informed that the Man who was bankrolling the Dream,no longer wants too,or is able too.So rightly a couple of predictions of Hayes Gate not being in the C.C.L. next year could well be right. But will it stop there, surely it cannot be right that Clubs without the Correct facilities can stay in C.C.L.1.AWAY Cup ties/League Matches under lights at no cost, and yet a Club can be denied promotion from C.C.L 1 To PREMIER if their changing room is to far away from the pitch, and they have not got 100 seats, when have you ever seen 100 plus supporters seated at a Combined Counties game,NEVER would be my guessSo if the rules are applied correctly and fairly the C.C.L. 1 could well be down to 15 teams next year.

It was when AFC came in ... and to be fair if u are putting in 50 you may as well put in a 100.... I must say I tend to agree with you mate. It was however the likes of AFC that generated enuf money for clubs to build a 100 seater stand. Those days are long gone and it seems to me the majority of fans not including the Conf Prem like to stand. I always stand to watch even when on the bench it is something that has always been with me since I went to Spurs as a 4 year old with my dad.

You obviously need an area for disabled and for those with any mobility problems so if they want to use them they can, but 100 seats, I think not.
