I'm good, but can still only do one thing at a time.

For info, in line with our comms strategy to "Tell the fans first" news releases like this are issued in this order:

1. Official website

2. This forum

3. Official Twitter feed

4. The general media

Steve,Seems the above order didn't apply in the case of Lacey & Harrington (or with some past comings & goings). More like in reverse.

I see it was mentioned in the local on Friday but nothing as yet on the official or even by the club on the forum. Don't know about twitter..I don't go there!

Damned shame if Lacey goes i.m.o. He's done very well for us & his weaponry will be missed (though wasn't always capitalised upon by his colleagues).

Harrington also. Was very patient & did good when given the chance.

I think you'll find Harrington will be the biggest loss over time.

With Lacey it's no really a shame as such. As I mentioned before he was dropped, he's been found out some time ago, especially by the opposition. He's one paced (and not very fast at that), didn't offer anything as far as an extra man/overlap on the right. When he did get the ball in advanced positions he never went past a player and floated the same (easily defendable) diagional ball over. If possession was conceeded then it just left the entire channel open (which teams were starting to exploit) because Lacey eventually got back to his own box near the full time whistle.

As for his weaponry (long throw), not really weaponry is it. How many goals were scored as a direct result of a Lacey long throw? I make it two. With Lacey's long throw we became extremely predictable and even a Sunday League side can set themselves up to defend long throws effectively.

Without trying to sound too harsh on the lad (as I said before), he seems like an honest lad, likeable off the pitch and he always gives 100% when on the pitch. Unfortunately I don't think his100% is quite good enough at this level anymore.

Tony, I'm not directing this at you as I think you're just responding to other comments, but it seems as if some people think they know more about the club than they actually do. What I would say is that overall supporters of this club get a flow of information about all aspects of the club that supporters of many other clubs can only dream of.

Both Aaron and Kane remain registered players at the club; in Aaron's case, he's contracted. If either leave and sign for someone else, then there is something to communicate and we will; in accordance to the above. Frankly, I'm not concerned at all about Iain's comments in the IoTG that Aaron is available for transfer.

We don't as a matter of course talk officially about the context of any movements / potential movements and also don't talk about any approaches we get for our players until something has been agreed. There are elements of the relationship a player has with the club that will rightly remain confidential but they will of course feed into ny decisions made about a player; so it's not as straight forward as it may look.

SIGH! Meant "our" meaning "the club" not "nmy".

I tell you, I thought I'd respond to try to put the club's perspective across but sometimes I do wonder why, except that I hold the assumption that the majority of supporters realise what I and the directors are trying to do.

My point about what Iain said in an interview with IoTG was that it was not significant news. If we felt it was significant, then supporters would have heard about it via the website first. I don't there's much of any real significance that has hit the press bfore the website over the last 12 - 18 months. That doesn't happen by accident, it happens becasue we're putting the effort in. And despite some of the comments here, I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
