In my eyes a true Gate legend, unfortunatley age catches up with all of us, but even at 40 this season he was still class, dont agree with the above post, age doesnt matter to fill the bench first priority is, if you are good enough. Good luck to to JK in all he does he will be missed here.

Truly magical in 2001, great after that before he joined Dover and still decent 2nd time around. Probably too expensive as a bit-part player now but a massive thanks to him. Expect to see him continue as a player - Whitstable ?

My theory of youngsters on the bench is that they cost less..I'm thinking of the wage bill..better to have good youngsters on the bench who don't cost as much as a more experinced player who is costing a lot more just to sit there...

 

Having said that..I don't know how the wages work, if its weekly whether play or not, small fee for bench, more for playing, more for starting..I don't know..

 

So my theory could just be rubbish!! Lol

Some support on the Dover forum for JK to replace hayes as their manager.

 

Personally-i cannot see JK as a manager at that level.

 

If Mr parmenter does remove Martin hayes as implied-with the cup money-i'd be looking at Martin Allen at Dover

See your point-but he has managed at conf level before-and dover are'nt a million miles away from conf national-either next season-or with their cup money-to fund a real campaign next season.

 

probably more importantly-after a difficult and ultimately unsuccessful time at Cheltenham-Allen has a reputation to re-build,so i think he would go to a 'lower level'.

Yea he could possibly go there..

 

He does a lot for radio and charity nowadays tho..he has his own charity so goes around the country doing things for that..

 

As a west ham fan I would love to see him at dover though!! I'd go over and start seeing them when margate weren't at home!
