Nice Guy how would you know these things, you have openly admitted that you do not do Div 1 games. You are the Prima Donna of Non League Football, only go to the BIG TEAM GAMES,do not believe everything you read on here, plenty of wrong info can be obtained,I liken you to a Red Top Reporter, always asking questions then printing a BIG HEADLINE to get the punters flocking.

THAT'S ME SMUDGY BOY ...HA HA !

THIS IS ONLY MY 2ND SEASON WATCHING CCL AND HAVE ONLY WATCHED PREMIER FIXTURES.

NOW SMUDGY, AS THE SEASON PROGRESSES AND THERE IS SOME RESEMBLANCE OF LEAGUE CHAMPIONS AND THE RESPECTIVE CHALLENGES FROM OTHER TEAMS, IT IS THEY I GO TO WATCH, BUT IF THERE ARE RUNAWAY LEADERS, I GO TO WATCH THE RELEGATION TEAMS COS IN BOTH INSTANCES THERE IS SOMETHING TO PLAY FOR.

I'M SORRY, BUT WATCHING MATCHES WITH TEAMS HAVING NOTHING TO PLAY FOR, (IE) CANNOT WIN THE LEAGUE OR GET RELEGATED,, THESE HAVE NOTHING IN THEM FOR THE PLAYERS SO USUALLY ARE DULL AFFAIRS.

LAST SEASON I WATCHED MANY RELEGATION BATTLE MATCHES AS NGU WERE CHAMPIONS ELECT COME FEBRUARY (I BELIEVE)

PERHAPS WHITELAW CAN ASSIST AND CONFIRM FOR US IF FARNHAM HAVE THE FACILITIES TO GO UPTO THE PREM ?

CORRECT ME IF IAM WRONG TRS, BUT I AM SURE THAT NGU HAVE A STAND ON THE RIGHT HABD SIDE LOOKIG FROM THEIR CLUBHOUSE BEING OPPOSITE THE DUGOUTS AND BEHIND THE GOAL NEAR THE CLUBHOUSE ? CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS ITS MY MEMORY THING AGAIN ?

NGU have a covered terrace on that side, but no seats. Maybe the ruling is you must have covered accomodation down the side, not necessarily seating if you have that elsewhere?

Ignoring the pitch at Farnham it's a great non league ground with a bit of character especially the raised bank behind the goal. I'm sure they have a way of getting around the enclosed walkway as they must have done so for the fa cup

There are no restrictions on where the sdtands are sited. Obviously on the side around the half way line are preferable.

Below is the requirements for the premier Division.

2. SPECTATOR FACILITIES

2.1 Spectator Accommodation

Development, other than hard standing, may all be on one side of the ground.

Existing athletics stadia may be exempt from this requirement.

Covered accommodation, which should preferably be on 2 sides of the ground, must

be of sound construction of timber/steel/brick/concrete or any combination of these

materials. Existing timber stands are only acceptable subject to fire assessment.

The minimum covered accommodation must be 200, of which at least 100 must be

seated. These seats may be located in two stands, each with a minimum capacity of

50. Whilst individual seats are preferred, bench seating may be permitted provided

that it is in good repair and that individual spaces (min 500mm) are clearly marked.

These 100 seats must afford a good view of the pitch and be clean, functional and in

good condition.

There must be a minimum of 16 seats provided for Directors/Committee and guests.

These seats must be clearly marked “Home” and “Away Directors”.

Additional seating may be provided in other areas of the ground.

I wouldn't say we struggled at any point last night. Even when they did have a few chances early on, everyone was confident that we would get chances ourselves and we have goal scorers all over the pitch.

YHW, as for the title being over, thats far from it. We have put ourselves in a great position, but still loads of tough games left to play and I doubt we will go the rest of the season without dropping points.

Last thing, about the ground...... If we do finish in a promotion place, the ground improvements are being put in place for us to go up.

Need lights though Knappy ;)

Krooner, please accept my invitation to Redding Way on Saturday 5th March for our Reserve team game (Opponents TBA) for our first game with the lights installed. We may not need to switch them on though. Also look out for our official opening match, details to be announced shortly.

Thought it was a while since we last mentioned them. Hopefully you will be able to get a big team down to mark the opening and raise some funds for the club. Good Luck with it.

That's a shame. I was genuinely hoping the first game under lights would be the Allied Counties game v Camberley U18s on March 2nd.

What was the reason for Farnham originally being relegated from the Premier division?

Was this related to their facilities at the time? Not 100% sure, but I thought someone mentioned something along these lines previously rather than finishing in the relegation positions.

The were in a relegation position when they went down, but weren't promoted the following season when they won Div 1 due to facilities not being adequate for Step 5
