Cambridge City v Slough Town

I assume then that not only have the league removed Windsor as far as results go but also any record of players playing in earlier rounds of cup competitions.

Doesn't matter if they remove the record or not as you can play for any number of clubs in the League Cup. A stupid rule but if nobody proposes to change it each year then it stays as it is.!

And something Steve Bateman was very aware of when selecting Ben Porter to be involved in the 2-1 cup win over Ashford with the player having previously featured for Hemel in the competiton in an earlier round.

I've got just under six minutes of "useful" footage from last night including all five goals, penalty foul and plenty of other chances for both sides. Would expect it to be available in about an hour and will post on here when it is up on the site.

Absolutely brilliant game, shame there was so few of us there to witness it. I know its a long way to go on a Tuesday night so not having a pop by the way, its just we played some really lovely football and even though we lost I came away with the feeling that we had won. I could not believe we were losing at half time!!!

I wouldnt like to pick MOM as I think the whole team deserved it, though I did hear a few talking about Sam Bateman and how well he was playing.

A big welcome to the two new players who definately impressed me, also a big thank you to all the team it was really enjoyable game of football, well done, one of the best nights of football for a long time.

i must say watching the highlights last night i found myself almost jealous that i didn't get to watch the game in person. cannot remember a Slough game with so many chances for quite some time.

also noticed a terrific effort by our defence in flinging themselves at everything. good to see in a cup that fans tend to see as slightly irrelevant to the long term season goals
