For those not following on twitter - 3-2 down at half time.

Took an early lead through Sweeney before three rapid goals from City. Just before half time Martin pulled one back from the spot.

Line up:

Bullivant, Sweeney, Murphy, Logie, Woozley, Seeby, Sinclair, Bateman, Martin, Porter and Herron.

Strong replacements in the shape of Sonner, Burnell, Swift, Fanner and Lawford.

Rhodes: No idea on the City scorers I am afraid

Mal: quite possibly, it seems they treat it as if Windsor didn't exsist which doesn't seem quite right.

Got most of the action tonight on camera despite the best efforts of the structures in the stand to get in the way!! Thought it was better to get that than tweet the regular updates, so apologies for the lack of that.

Great playing surface and think we ran out of legs a bit at the end with a few players looking tired but a good effort against a side in the division above. Good luck to them in the next round in their bid to retain the trophy.

Excellent game of football, with both teams playing non-stop attacking football from start to finish.

First half deservedly went one nil up playing some very neat football and if Steve Sinclair had his shooting boots on he could have scored 3 or 4 with Chris Heron also missing a gilt edged chance to get on the score sheet.

Cambridge had virtually 3 chances first half and scored 3 goals.

Second half was a bit more even with both teams having chances to add to the score but again I thing we edged it on chances with Sincs going close again with a couple of near misses.

Overall a very pleasing performance and I think very unlucky not come away with a win.

Dave Woozley and Rob Bullivant both had excellent games and look to be two very good signings for us.

No worries Gary cheers for the updates and the video footage is much appreciated. Sounds like a good performance against an excellent side. Let's hope we can now get on a decent consistent run in the league with no more postponements and abandonments and secure a play-off spot.

Brilliant game by 2 footballing sides ..Slough certainly matched Cambridge in every department .. and deserved an extra goal to have taken this into extra time, but we just could not force the ball into the back of the net ...chances galore and some great saves by the Cambridge keeper..

The First half alone I think we had about 15 chances to their 10 ! but a one stage we looked to be going 4 - 1 down ! yet Slough powered back and should have at least

been on equal terms at the break ...

Quality game and this was by far our best performance for ages.. well done to all...

If I had to pick my man of the match : Steve Sinclair would be my choice tonight ..ran ran and ran for Slough...

but a great all round performance ..that made me proud of the Rebels tonight...and Cambridge knew they got out of jail tonight !

see you all tomorrow for the youth Game Thursday 10th Feb ko 7-45pm v sun postal..

cheers chris s

League tables say played same amount of games as Rugby.

With Aylesbury having 2 games in hand on us Saturday is a massive game.

I assume then that not only have the league removed Windsor as far as results go but also any record of players playing in earlier rounds of cup competitions.

Doesn't matter if they remove the record or not as you can play for any number of clubs in the League Cup. A stupid rule but if nobody proposes to change it each year then it stays as it is.!
