A new temporary Manager has been appointed at Merstham F.C. mystery surrounds the departure of El Gaffers reason for leaving,or did he leave.The Supporters Club have asked for a meeting with the Board to clarify the current situation.Bomaya could be banished from the Moatside for airing his views,Reserve Team Coach Andrew MartIn takes over with immediate affect.I personally wish G.B. all the best in his future Football Management Career.Now here is a true NICE GUY,OPEN ,HONEST,WORKAHOLIC,LIVES AND DIES HIS FOOTBALL.MERSTHAM'S LOSS!!!!!!!

Merstham has been a closed shop for discussion for too long. I suggested to Bomaya that he set up his own forum but he seemed to want to kowtow to the MFC hierachy. Maybe he'll change his mind now?

Without going in to too much detail I feel I have been shafted and after receiving an email yesterday from a Director of the club I believe some of the Board of Directors are not being told all the facts.

 

I am in the process of compiling a statement of what's happened over these last few days and I will make sure I post accordingly here and various other places.

 

Whilst it would be nice to move on accordingly I firmly believe that I need to give the true facts as I see them as I believe to have been honest to all at Merstham FC in my time at the Club and put the best interests of the club at the forefront of any decision i've made over the last 18 months. I have a lot of support at the Club and thank people for their kind messages I have already received.

 

Normally I would walk away and forget it as lesson learned but if I am ever to get back in to football, and I might not even want that to happen, I wouldn't want any mistruth to scupper any chances I might have of a new job.

I have never met the New Manager,but have been told Loyalty has never been his strong suit.Merstham have been lucky in their last 2 Managers,they could work with a small budget.Maybe in time Mr. Burr and Mr. Baxter will realise they have had 2 Non League Diamonds,would post on the Merstham site,but unfortunately I have history there,for my outspoken views.

good luck to you for the future. your thoughts of putting out a statement, seems the best thing to do. your side of things clears up all rumour. you indicated you may not want to get back into football, time is a big cure for this emotion. but you would be a big loss, dust yourself down and get back on. our level of football need people like EL GAFFER. good luck

I have just spent the last 4 hours typing out everything that has gone on since last Tuesday! Just as I was about to send to the paper i've held back.

 

I have decided I will speak to the paper to get the short story across without slagging anyone off as i don't feel that it will do anyone any good. The statement of events I have already written will be sent to the Merstham Board of Directors and Supporters Club Chairman this week so everyone there is aware of exact details.
