AFC HORNCHURCH 1 BURY TOWN 1

Eastside Urchin

Recommended Posts

A Fair result on a very blustery day, with Duane Jackman grabbing the equaliser with about 10 minutes left after a 30 yard screamer by bury to open the scoring.

Now for the real man of the moment, quite possibly the greatest man ever to grace a football pitch.Ladies and Gentleman,i present to you the Famous, superbly brilliant Charles Breakspeare,a man so good on a football pitch that he has never ever made a tackle, scored a goal or saved a penalty but is talked about as some sort of legend.Seriously,is this tw@t for real,it was only two months ago we had this idiot referee our game at Ashford where he somehow booked everyone on the pitch including Elliot Styles who was actually making a clearance at the time.Today,he sent off Tommy Black, gave ridiculous decisions, like a fould against Elliot who was at the time getting kicked senseless while trying to get out of a melee that the bury players had created.

If this bloke ever referees at the Bridge again i would hope that he would be banned from the ground as he could start a riot, all he wanted was to get his name known once again, the bloke is a grade a C**T

To round it off,i popped back to see alice and the baby straight after the game,on returning to the bridge i got out my car to hear a bury town player ask if it was a deserved red to which the referee responded "I had to get my own back"

Make of that what you will.

Have to agree the ref I don't think he was biased as such but just shockingly bad

First full 90 in a while, it looked a draw from the out set, althought the points were there to be taken. Bury never looked much. The opener was special though. On the chin's well, I am aware of the injuries to the midfield. Strikers score from the service they are given and it showed. D jackman ran his heart out and got what he deserved. A point it was.

me too and i hear there may be one or two more additions to the squad, will be worth keeping our ear to the ground.

I fancy us to get something at Sutton tuesday big time.Frankie Curley will be back and we will be able to play football more than the wind allowed us to today

Todays Ref, was a complete C**t! FACT!! :flame:

Totally spolit the game in my opinion, all about him and i hope he never steps foot over Bridge Avenue again!

Other than that i thought Hornchurch played very well and think that we was unlucky not to get a result from the game.

The strong wind blowing across the ground didnt help either.

Do you think he was upset by the name calling? Sometimes getting on the ref 's back can be counter productive. - Even though he may deserve it!

he is the modern day uriah renee but fouls will always be a plenty on a blustery day like today controlling the ball was a problem for both sides who looked clumsy to say the least so a draw was the right result under difficult circumstances

Valuable point today against a team up there.

As for the ref, well I didn't see the game today but at the Ashford game it was the worst refereeing performance I've ever seen in non-league football, so I'm not surprised.

Nice to know that Duane Jackman is back.

Well done to the Urchins.

referees have suffered abuse for years,a referee should referee the game to his best ability not step on the pitch with an agenda,he was clearly against hornchurch from the start as he remembered the abuse he got at Ashford for his shocking performance there.

A referee should be unbiased no matter what stick or abuse he gets.

I used to work in customer service processing people's claims to benefit. At times I was sworn at over the phone but if I had decided because of that, I wouldn't award that person benefit or put their claim to the bottom of the pile, I could have lost my job.

I needed to be objective despite that abuse. It's the same with refs. I don't agree with some of the abuse they get but if they can't be objective then they shouldn't be doing the job.
