Yeah where is THE GATE ? He came on here at the beginning of the season giving it all how Hayes Gate were going to win the league balh blah blah, a bit harder than expected I assume !

 

After a few losses THE GATE vanished..............where are yoouuuu !!!

Sorry been busy, 3 games this season against Hayes Gate and found them very unpredictable. 1st game they turned up with the bare 11 and had a keeper who looked like he had been retired for at least 10 years. 2nd game we got battered but won 3-0. And Saturdays game a 1-1 draw and were lucky to get a point! In difficult conditions Park started the better and controlled the first 20, but from then on Hayes Gate played the better and looked like the team pushing for promotion. Could of been 5-5 with both team missing chances.

 

THANKS for what seems a very accurate report. was at the 3-0 game thought your keeper was outstanding. but when i reported that H G played total football, it made a few posters chuckle. good luck for the rest of the season.

Eversley 1-1 Staines Lammas

 

Not the best of games to be fair, Lammas took the lead midway through the first half, then conceded a soft goal just before half time, we had chances to wrap the game up, but in the end only a worldy of a save from our keeper kept us in the game.

 

My first time at Eversley and I was very impressed with the pitch and the facilities.

 

 

Thanks for the positive comments. We're planning some improvements to the facilities in the summer .

 

Thought both sides had chances to win the game. Two very poor goals to concede as well.

 

Very amusing comment from one of your management team just before your keeper made a great save at the end.

 

Good to see your lads enjoying a few drinks in the bar after the game and it was a pleasure to host your side.

hayes gate are on occassions a very decent footballing team and having drawn with south park and beaten knaphill and farnham earlier in there season they can clearly compete with the best , just wish we had some info on who plays for them and had a poster on here , even there webiste hasnt been updated for months

Willmore left because hes prob coming to the end of his career and he wasnt getting in to our side ad of late and decided to leave to get as much mins in as he can before he retires, hes also good mates with Sav and also he couldnt make training most of the time cos hes a teacher and ive heard he only has to train once every 2 weeks with eversley!
