What do people think will happen to the ESL after this season?

If as they state Witham leave the league either by winning it or moving to Ridgeons, that will leave the league with 16 clubs, Should the winners be able to get promoted then that will leave 15 and no likeliehood of a team being relegated as Leyton have gone.

 

Will the FA allow a league with that few teams?

 

What are the alternatives?

There is talk of Step 5 being reduced to 12 leagues so the ESL teams could be merged into Kent, Ridgeons and SSML leagues

i think thats the 'worst case scenario' youve painted there neverbeen,there will still be relegation from the Ryman just one club not two,not sure if Witham will decide to join the Ridgeons as they will be put in Division One {step six} so they will be relegating themselves,i think Stansted will win League and a relegated team will join us,who knows we may even see a team promoted from the Olympian so i wouldnt write a obituary for the ESL quite yet.
