New stadium land threat?

Recommended Posts

I have just seen in the Express that the Sikh school in Wexham wants the land that has been allocated for our new community sports centre to build a new secondary school.

Fortunately it looks like the council is backing our proposal as it is so far down the line.

What is the next step in the process for us? Last time I heard the developers were still number-crunching.

Keep the faith ..

We must not get into a panic situation ..the answer by Rob Anderson was fair ..and is what's is on the table now for almost 2 years.

Steve I am sure would appreciate that we just get on with matters in hand..

talks are on going with the housing developer ,Slough Council ...and the Football club.

Yes I guess we are all waiting with baited breath, but until the facts are known, then we don't want to get into any aggravation with anyone.

We are for Slough ! and want a community club for the Town and its people.

cheers Chris S

from what i can remember from a few weeks ago i think i read it in the observer the existing sikh school that is based by wexham park is in the poo with the education authorities over their lack of results / standards, so i don't think they are going to be the top of any hit parade as in general most of the etnic schools of recent years have been poor performers or so reports in the nationals seem to intimate.

paul..wrong school... not the Khalsa school...

ok memory not what it was chris, still itdoes not put them in a good local light especially with the govt not seemingly favoring this style of school seems they now want more intergration . still i think the ground will be alright.

Iqra, the muslim primary school, is on special measures I believe which those in education will know isn't very good!
