Windsor and eton

If the teams in the promotion places don't have there ground up to scratch what harm would it do having a new windsor club in our league? level the teams out to 22 and have a club with a great ground and good following? I heard the same thing Weebs!!

Yes, and i'm sure we can look forward to AFC Crawl£y coming to this League soon too. Nice ground and good following, although it will be back to usual levels by then of course.

There's no reason for these clubs to stop carrying on like this, when they know their debts will be scrubbed and they will only drop a couple of Leagues when it's all gone wrong (and it always does in the end). Some of them then start off on the same path again (and why not?). Until the FA does something about it, then it'll keep on happening. Best not hold your breath on that one.

PLEASE EXCUSE MY IGNORANCE TRS, SORRY I CAN'T REMEMBER, BUT CAN YOU TELL US WHEN WIMBLEDON PACKED UP AND MOVED ON, HOW LONG AGO AND WHAT LEAGUE DID AFC WIMBLEDON START UP IN - CCL PREMIER? WHAT GROUND DID THEY SHARE ?

,

Massive difference NICE GUY - Wimbledon FC didn't pack up or go bust, they just relocated to MK and changed their name to MK Dons - against the will of the majority of their "local" fans

AFC Wimbledon were a new Club formed by disillusioned supporters as opposed to an old Club gone pop. They shared with Kingstonian for a season or 2 before buying the ground.

Their inclusion in the CCL resulted from the Ryman League rejecting their application - the rest as they say is history

EXACTLY GF CCL ! EVERYONE IS SAYING THAT WINDSOR & ETON (AFC WINDSOR & ETON ?) SHOULD START AS A NEW FOOTBALL CLUB/TEAM AT STEP 6 CCL DIV. 1 - AGAIN, I MAYBE WRONG, BUT DID AFC WIMBLEDON START AT STEP 6 CCL DIV 1 WHEN THEY WERE A NEW CLUB/TEAM ?

You've missed the point NICE GUY . The new Windsor team will be the reincarnation of a team that has gone bust owing thousands to their creditors. By contrast AFC Wimbledon were a brand new team connected only to the old team (which didn't go bust) by 1000's of supporters that didn't want to travel to Milton Keynes.

CCL didn't have a Div 1at that time, so after the Ryman League rejected them the CCL seized the opportunity. A 2500 crowd at Sandhurst watched the opening game (no disrespect but I doubt if AFC Windsor or whatever will muster 250 for their opening match)

NO GF I'M NOT MISSING THE POINT AND DO APPRECIATE WHAT YOU MEAN BEING THE 'DIFFERENCE BEING... ''NEW TEAMS''.

WHILST I APPRECIATE THE MATTER OF AFC WIMBLEDON BEING A ''BRAND NEW'' TEAM AND W&E (AFC W&E) BEING A REINCARNATION OF A ''NEW'' CLUB/TEAM. I'M THINKING ALONG THE LINES OF W&E FACILITIES, SUPPORT WHICH WOULD HELP ALL THE CLUBS IN THE CCL, AS IT CLEARLY DID WHEN AFC WIMBLEDON STARTED AND UNDERSTAND KEPT ALOT OF CCL CLUBS ''ALIVE''. NOW, AS THERE WASN'T A DIV. 1 THEN PERHAPS AFC W&E WILL START IN DIV 1 ?

BEING NEW ON THE CCL SCENE, I WASN'T AWARE THERE WASN'T A CCL DIV 1 THEN BUT WHY DIDN'T AFC WIMBLEDON START AT A LOWER LEAGUE AS THEY WERE A ''BRAND'' NEW CLUB/TEAM SAY IN THE MIDDX ELITE FOR EXAMPLE ......COULD IT BE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THEIR FOLLOWING I ASK ??? A BIT LIKE W&E ON A SMALLER SCALE ??

There wasn't a "formal" National League System at the time AFC Wimbledon was created - new Clubs "negotiated" with Leagues at their AGM's. The Ryman didn't see the benefits 2500 supporters would bring to their member Clubs (I was one of only 5 votes out of 90+ that voted to include them) so they went to the CCL meeting a few days later whose member Clubs welcomed them with open arms.

NOT SURPRISINGLY GF ! ......WHAT WERE THE RYMANS CLUBS DOING WHAT 2500 SUPPORTERS ! OH WELL THEIR LOSS, BUT WAS IT ? THEY PROBABLY KNEW THEY (AFC) WOULD EVENTUALLY WIN THE CCL PREMIER AND GET PROMOTED TO THE RYMANS ANYWAY, HAVING A FEW SEASONS WITH THEM WITH PROBABLY A BIGGER SUPPORT BY THEN !

THANKS FOR THE INFO GF ....... INTERESTING

Sorry but the point is about the creditors.

Having run my own business for a long time I have lost count of the number of customers who have gone "into liquidation and then phoned me up to tell me that the original directors have bought back the company from the administrators for a nominal fee.

They then trade from the same address, telephone number and bank.

The creditors get 1p in the pound if you are lucky.

The revenue , vat and bank are prefered creditors and divvy up anything that remains and we all go on as before, except without being paid.

Presumably Windsor and Eton 2011 Ltd will carry on as per company law but when will anybody stand up for the creditors?

Nothing personal about W and E but the lunch is never free, short term gain is usually long term pain , clichees over!

What do you think?

HERE, HERE WELL SAID GOTH !
