Windsor and eton

Recommended Posts

Shame I saw a game there a couple of years ago, nice club and friendly people

AGREE MEDIC, I'VE BEEN THERE QUITE A FEW TIMES, A NICE PLACE AND A BIG, LOVELY PITCH SO I THINK WOULD BE GOOD FOR CCL PREMIER.

IT OBVIOUSLY HAS THE FACILITY STANDARD REQUIREMENT AND WOULD MAKE THE CCL BETTER AND STRONGER WITH TEAMS/PLACES LIKE THIS.

I FOR ONE WOULDN'T MIND GOING THERE NEXT SEASON AS WINDSOR IS NOT THAT FAR AWAY FROM MANY OF THE CCL PREMIER CLUBS SO WOULD FIT IN FINE FOR TRAVELLING.

PERSONALLY, I THINK THAT OTHER CCL PREMIER CLUBS AND CERTAINLY THE PLAYERS WILL ENJOY GOING TO PROBABLY ' AFC 'WINDSOR & ETON'' AS THEIR FACILITIES AND ESPECIALLY THE PITCH ARE VERY GOOD.

THERE WILL BE PLAYERS WHO REMEMBER HAVING PLAYED AT WINDSOR & ETON WHEN BEDFONT GREEN WON THE CCL PREMIER 2 SEASONS AGO..

Sorry Nice Guy why on earth should they be allowed in the CCL Premier. If they were to come into the league it should be in Division 1.

Agree...Also a little birdie tells me that they are keeping the same management team and already building for next season where ever that may be.......

You have to have Farnborough in your name only to drop 2 levels don't you wink.gif

Like Merthyr last season, I reckon it'll be a 3 level drop to step 6

If the teams in the promotion places don't have there ground up to scratch what harm would it do having a new windsor club in our league? level the teams out to 22 and have a club with a great ground and good following? I heard the same thing Weebs!!

Reward for failure,I think not,all Financially failed Clubs should start at the lowest level possible.

Yes, and i'm sure we can look forward to AFC Crawl£y coming to this League soon too. Nice ground and good following, although it will be back to usual levels by then of course.

There's no reason for these clubs to stop carrying on like this, when they know their debts will be scrubbed and they will only drop a couple of Leagues when it's all gone wrong (and it always does in the end). Some of them then start off on the same path again (and why not?). Until the FA does something about it, then it'll keep on happening. Best not hold your breath on that one.

Agree TRS something does need to be done but are the F.A really interested? The debate could go on for years!!

Out of principle DT yes I think it would. These clubs that do boom/bust/reform should be made to start at the lowest level possible and at the moment that is Step 6.

Is it fair that a club such as Sandhurst, who keep their house in order, should not have a level playing field. Or the sides in Div 1 who have the facilities to go up and keep their house in order watch a side do what Windsor have done and then still end up above them.

Clever how these clubs that fail, have many Creditors but never owe the f.a's anything.Whereas if your a Player and owe a fine and do not pay it,you are banned Sine Die from all Football, just start a new club thats the way round it.Can a Player change his name,by deed poll and get round it that way, maybe he could.OR PRETEND TO BE SOMEONE ELSE.

Massive difference NICE GUY - Wimbledon FC didn't pack up or go bust, they just relocated to MK and changed their name to MK Dons - against the will of the majority of their "local" fans

AFC Wimbledon were a new Club formed by disillusioned supporters as opposed to an old Club gone pop. They shared with Kingstonian for a season or 2 before buying the ground.

Their inclusion in the CCL resulted from the Ryman League rejecting their application - the rest as they say is history

NG - I'm wondering if the far east backers might cut and run once the Man Utd proceeds are banked (a la Westley). Would be very amusing.
