AFF
On Thursday, a thread began on here which by Friday evening had received some 600 'hits' and around 120 postings over 6 or 7 pages. There was no criticism of The Chairman, the Board or St. Albans City F.C. There was no bad language, and no personal abuse. On several occasions, different contributors stressed that there was nothing 'personal' about the thread. Among the contributors were one 'Official' of S.A.C.F.C. and one member of the Committee of The Supporters Club. The essence of the thread was whether there is, or is not, unauthorised free entry to home games at Clarence Park. The point was made more than once that it should be of concern to no-one if The Chairman permits free entry to various people. In that regard, it's his club and his money. One person stated that "lots of people get into the ground for free" and, if that is so, and ONLY if that is unauthorised, that is of concern to me and, I suggest, should be of concern to all Saintsfans. The three Moderators each indicated that they do not enjoy free entry to The Park. I have a season-ticket. I help occasionally. The thread had not reached a conclusion. During the week-end, that thread has been deleted without comment. Well here's one from me: that's a sad day. On the thread, I expressed incredulity that 'a number' of people get into the ground without paying. I genuinely wanted to know the criteria for free entry. I couldn't believe that a number of people know a number of people that enjoy 'unauthorised' free entry to the ground. The discussion has been stopped. I am beginning to believe. EFM The Firm, The Voice
From what I gather from a very reliable source a certain member of the committee, who doesn't frequent this board very often asked a moderator to delete it. This is apparently not the first time this committee member has done this. Apart from all the points that AFF has mentioned, is this not an unoffical board, the views expressed here may not be ..... etc etc, so whats happened to free speech and healthly debate! How do you get on the committee because I'd like to put myself forward, across the years I have seen a stream of people come and go, they use the club for their own self importance and as a rule they don't stick around. EFM are widly regarded as an unoffical supporters club, do provide most the atmosphere, have supporters who have followed the club for years, will have fresh ideas and we already have members who so their bit to promote the club off thier own backs. And I will still pay to get in.
Alban
I would also like to know why the thread was deleted. The points raised are of interest to all fans who fear that the reduction in attendances will lead to a cut in the wages budget. If you are committed to the club why would you not want to pay for admission? I would urge the Chairman to post a response.

Colin Zeal EFM
How on earth can the Chairman of the Supporters Club have the right to choose what can, and what can't be put on this board?? Had John Gibson or another director demanded its removal, then fair enough (although it'd still be considered censorship), but Ian Rogers has no authority whatsoever to ask for it to be deleted. I cannot understand why he just didn't come on here and say; "yes, I pay to get into games. So do the rest of the committee," but that didn't happen, did it? It's almost as if there is something to hide.
AFF
The deletion of the thread has happened and it's history now. I remain concerned at whether, or not, there is unauthorised free entry to Clarence Park. There should be no reason for a major witch-hunt. In the first place, I shall speak to that Chairman of The Supporters Club chap tonight and raise the matter with him. I am a member of the Supporters Club and somewhere in the constitution of it, will be reference to the representation of the views of the supporters. I'm one. Other supporters have posted their views on here. I don't regard the Chairman's [of the Supporters Club] silence on here as sinister. As someone said, he doesn't come on here very often. I will have a word. An Official of SACFC came on here on the deleted thread and chose to outline the time that he spends on Club 'business' and confirmed that he enjoys free entry to The Park in return. At that stage in the thread, the point was not entirely clear that the primary concern was at possible unauthorised free entry. As an Official, presumably, that person has whatever form of 'pass' that these people have, and is therefore authorised. There are others who, I have no doubt, spend as much of their time on club 'business', and they may have authorised free entry, too. No problemo. The parable from the bible of the vineyard owner and the hired help comes to mind once again. Terrestrially, it's Gibbo's club in this respect and it's his money. I'll speak to The Bearded One. [Edit} P.S. I'll also make enquiries of the basis upon which EFMTFTV could stand for election to t'Committee. I imagine that new blood is always welcome. You will probably have to wait until the AGM at the end of the season, however.

Colin Zeal EFM
Unbelievable. Just checked in the Graveyard. 1) Yes, it was Gary STFC who deleted the post. Why? What's it to do with him?? 2) The whole thread has disappeared from the Graveyard too. Normally, when something is deleted, it goes to the Graveyard so it can be seen by Moderators and retrieved if necessary. There is no sign of this thread at all. Colin Zeal EFM
ESG, Laz - having paid £200 for your season ticket, 30% of which is considered a 'donation to the club', how has all this business made you feel, when it is alleged that various 'volunteers' at the club are walking straight into home games without paying?? ESG
as i stated earleir on the missing thread I feel the club is making mugs of STH and for that feel I trifle annoyed to say the least... But what can to do, it seems the Premiership disease has seeped into non-league football. The fans, we've got their money, so lets ignore them... As for the price still waiting for an explantion why Carshaltons' #125 and ours #200...the table doesnt lie....
