A Great scalp for the underdogs in this Cup Tie,but if Betfair had been betting in Running, many punters would of done their money.

 

Yours truly was supporting the underdog in this one,and it was nice to put names to faces that post on here, Glads3, you remember him ,the one who stated FARLEIGH are the best Team in the League, a cultured L/B I have known since he was 13. Shiftyonfire,The Farleigh keeper who used to play in Division 3 of the Croydon Sunday League for ORCHARD F.C.,How he has matured in just a few years is amazing, only keeper I have seen this year that is not like Dracula, crosses are meat and drink to him.

 

MAN OF THE MATCH. Blueandwhitearmy or Scotty dog as I like to call him, where has this lad suddenly got his pace from, always had skill, but pace never.Once beat him in a race at Farleigh at my age. Farleigh Fox a cultured no nonsense midfielder,who tonight popped up to supply the cross that WON FARLEIGH THE GAME. And last but not least Spencer9, who ran his little cotton socks of for 90 minutes, relentlessly for the Team.

 

THE MATCH:-Farleigh opened the scoring with a wonder strike from Dan Canning from 30 yards right in the top corner giving the R.P.V. Keeper no chance 1-0.R.P.V. ran the rest of the half, had numerous chances to score but wasted them.

 

The second half was backs to the wall defending for Farleigh but they were resolute and determined. Then they conceded a penalty for handball the writing was on the wall, but believe it or not the R.P.V. penalty taker kindly blazed it over the bar, Eddo was having babies.

 

But with 5 minutes to go R.P.V. got their just reward when a ball in behind the Farleigh defence was finished with aplomb. FARLEIGH WERE SHELL SHOCKED AND DOOMED TO DEFEAT, hang on though, they dragged themselves up from despair to create the move of the match. SHIFTYONFIRE threw the ball out to GLADS3 he passed the ball down the line to Farleigh Fox who outpaced the full back and delivered an exquisite cross to the back stick were Cameron Diaz steered the ball home for a Farleigh win.

 

ECSTASY ALL ROUND. Ref Mr SINGH was excellent, his assistants excellent, pitch was heavy but played well, all in all another memory in the bank.

It's a one off game so you never know. No he didn't he cup tied.

He did score for Croydon Athletic though in their Abandoned game against Horsham,in Ryman Premier.

 

OKAY SO WHATS HAPPENING HERE, IS A DUAL REGISTRATION. HE'S SCORING FOR FARLIEGH IN THE LEAGUE WHEN CROYDON ATH. HAVE LEAGUE GAMES, YET WHEN STEFAN CAN'T PLAY IN THE CCL CUP HE PLAYS FOR CROYDON ATH ! IS HE A CROYDON ATH SQUAD PLAYER AND WANTED AGAINST HORSHAM WHICH JUST HAPPENED TO COINCIDE COS HE COULDN'T PLAY FOR FARLEIGH ?
