Colliers Wood United 1-2 Badshot Lea. Very enjoyable game played by two teams who were positive and went for it. Baggies had a bit more quality but Woods never gave up and could have sneaked a deserved equaliser late on.

First visit for me to Wibbadune. Cracking little place, friendly people.

And in a time when people often malign the officials, I thought the referee and both linesmen were excellent.

RPV 1-2 FARLEIGH

A complete battle of a game on a much improved pitch from last November.

RPV started the brighter with a couple of attempts at goal & a "maradona" style goal disallowed.

Farleigh's new(ish) boy Dan "scissors" Canning turned the RPV centre back and smashed home beating the RPV keeper (you don't save those) HT 0-1

More counter attacking football from both teams with the pitch just about staying fairly even. RPV awared a pen for a handball by Roy Newman (was it deliberate? On the floor arms by sides?)

Pen smashed over the bar with Richie Bull having it covered all the way.

Eventually RPV got an equaliser with 5 mins to go, neat build up play across the box, Farleigh Centre back cramping up, tucked away neatly. 1-1 all to play for.

RPV thought they could win it, but farleigh had other ideas, with RPV pushing toward allowed Farleigh Fox to whip in a teasing ball which left keeper & defender flat footed to leave Farleigh's Kieran Dias to tap in at the far post.

FT 2-1 Farleigh.

Really glad you enjoyed your visit.

All things considered this was a pretty good game.

Thought we were the better team first half but their equaliser on half time(an offside in the build up) hurt us. Good goal though.

Baggies were better side second and just about deserved the points. Wish Mario had more support up front as he was outstanding as the lone ranger all night.

Don't quite agree re assistant refs however, but ref was very good I agree.

Interesting times re the league table!coffee%20(2).gif

Looks like our game v Chicks on Saturday will be a close one!:350:

For those of you that visit DFC's web site, the host server has a problem and I cannot post any up-dates at the moment. I have e-mailed the host administrator.

Dorkings scorers last night were Leroy Hyett and John Yiannis.

Get it changed to Pitchero BJR (& Chris Clapham). Much prefer their sites to clubwebsite, which I find slow to load, clunky and a bit of a mess. Pitchero's much cleaner looking, easy to navigate and handy for moving between different club's sites.

All sorted now, TRS. I had a luvlly e-mail from the administrators this morning, apologising for a short glitch yesterday. Some of us haven't got time to keep building web-sites, and besides, DFC is a Democracy, contrary to some suggestions !

Notwithstanding my commitments to any football beyond this season, CWUFC have plans for a brand spanking new website for the 2011/12 season.

Clubwebsite and Pitchero both serve their purposes but, IMHO, lack the ability for those personal touches that clubs need nowadays.

I prefer the individuality of self run club websites as they tend to reflect the club on a more personal basis.

CWUFC have our own individual sponsors and, without them, we could not compete at this level. We must be able to do more for them and potential new sponsors.

I think Pitchero is better than club website, less clunky however I agree with Chris, a bespoke website is far better than a templated version as you can put your own stamp on it and add/remove things that you do/do not want. However, I can see the pros for having a template site.

Couldn't agree more with that TC.

Keeping any website up to date is time consuming, something of which I have plenty at present.:492:

I think clubs in the CCL are making great strides re websites and matchday programmes and this only reflect positively on the league when sponsorship talks take place.
