When I saw the fixture list I thought these five games would be a real test and we would be lucky to get anything out of them, but apart from the Canvey debacle we've played well from what I've seen and improved steadily and could have had more than the five points.

 

In particular, the draws against Hayes and Basingstoke could have been wins, and apparently we were unlucky not to get something against Bedford yesterday, it was just our finishing let us down.

 

Still, the next lot of fixtures on paper look a little easier, at least until November, so maybe we can put a run together and get a few more in through the turnstiles.

I think what you're trying to say Rob is that since last Christmas we have lost the same number of league games as we have won but have conceded more goals in the process, and if we beat nonentities such as Maidenhead United and Bishop's Stortford at Clarence Park then everything is ok. Think you're on your own there.

Actually, what I was trying to say is we've had 4 good performances on the trot against decent sides and with a little more luck would have won all of them. Christmas? what's that got to do with anything? I'd take your head out of the sand if I were you.

Rob if your other games your side performed as well as they did against us you won't go far wrong. Luck usually has away of evening itself out by the end of the season. To be honest your team deserved more from our game, I look forward to our Clarence Park encounter.
