Your visit to Croydon Athletic

Next Saturday will be the first ever visit of Slough Town to Mayfields, home of Croydon Athletic - The Rams.

I see that details of our ground on your site are sketchy, so you may be interested to know that Saturday's game will mark the opening of our new stand seating over 300. There is covered standing for several hundred more both opposite the main stand and behind one goal. This is the Paul Muir Terrace named after a former player who was tragically killed. The official capacity is 3000.

Don't be put off by the entrance road - we hope that the Council will help us to re-surface this before long. The clubhouse is smallish but features a well stocked bar and the famous cooking of Linda's Kitchen - acknowledged by many as the culinary centre of the Ryman League.

We hope you enjoy your first visit. Please note that we had a little warm up game today (Sat.) in preparation!

hi there all from slough and croydon a. it sounds as though you have a better ground poss than us and look forword to seeing the croydon a ground and sumple the food. thanks for your imformaton. i think us slough and windsor lads should get together eith some of the trust money and windsors and have at least one goal covered because now we are here the stand and the small allturnitive cover i fear may not hold all the slough fans in the incliment weather. if we are staying here for three years or more maybe this would be a good venture. also we do need nets in cirtion places to stop the balls going out. at the moment we have ryan and a couple of lads going for the balls and me acaisonly and feel we could easily do with more cover. as for the game i thought we were slow slow to get going but once we got going i think we wore them down and aventualy got the two goals and agree that we may may struggle with similer status teams in are league and maybe get a big bogie side like say yeading or hemael ext in the next round or a little side again and risk anther banna skin but hopefully squeeze through to the next round. also it is sad to see that harrogate railway have detrained from this years compatition. any hope your all allright down in croydon all slough rebels are ok hope to see some of you on the coach or at the ground in croydon cheers
