Nice to report second win in a row for the Manor. The boys started a bit slow today, but picked it up. APSA worked hard to try to pull it level, and credit to the team spirit that APSA showed.

 

We look forward to welcoming Southend Manor on Tuesday night, the boys are fired up and full of confidence.

Must have been a good match - we were on our way but a burst water main closed the A127 completely and kept everyone stuck in Southend , See you again in dryer weather !

I agree Lancey, dangerous on the counter attack, they have some very fast lads down the right, and middle. And their No.6 & Capt was very well organised, and kept them on their toes. Full credit to the APSA boys, I shall be keeping an eye on their results. A team for the future. What surprised me was their team spirit and togetherness. Only criticism was their fans were over enthusiastic, and their language was over the top, especially with young kiddies running about.

 

Sorry you missed the Game Chairman, you missed a cracker, Asa Paplin missed a sitter, which would have made it 4 - 0 and possible game over. The game was end to end, but Manor proving to be the better side on the day. Full credit to the Manor Boys, and Kirk Whitelock, who incidentally made a brilliant substitution, as the boy come on and his first touch was a diving header which made it 2-0 up for the Manor.

 

Well done The Manor, and well done ASPA for giving 100% right to the final whistle.
