Will we or won't we?

Could do worse!

Just think, Smudge could become your full time car park attendant. No more midweek trips to the ar$e end of Kent or Burgess Hill. Nice local derby at the Arena on Boxing Day!! (Two visits if the best team in Division One get promoted ;)). Get to play in the Vase, so potential to go much further than is likely in the Trophy. I would also add two trips to Dorking, but unless you get relegated two divisions then that's looking unlikely :(

Most likely outcome would be a reprieve due to the champion club not being allowed promotion....

Have always enjoyed my trips to Dorking - less so the Legionnaires Arena!

Had to look at the CCL Premier table - are Guildford City likely to be rejected? Are there four former Ryman side in the bottom 5?!!

The Ryman League tend to be less discerning these days. Guildford City applied to go up I notice and thus must be at least somewhat serious about it.

Reckon Warlingham must want us to come down as the RFL have yet to decide on groundsharing for 2011/12 - they would only agree our agreement for one season...

Blimey, there's a blast from the past! How are you doing Mr Farmie? Can't believe you don't enjoy your trips to the Arena - I prefer "Theatre of Nightmares" as an alternative name!

Saw you'd made it to the bottom 2 of Ryman's, but suspect that no-one below Conference level will get relegated anywhere! Plenty of clubs gone bust, plenty more to go before the end of the season.

From the FA's grade 'E' document -

It must be possible for spectators to view the match, either standing or seated, for the full length of at least 3 sides of the playing area.

The Stadium must have a minimum safe capacity of 1,000

There must be at least 2 spectator entrances to control the ingress of spectators. These must be controlled by fully operational turnstiles of the revolving type and must be suitably housed and lit.

Access must be provided for the emergency services

Development, in addition to hard standing, should ideally be on more than one side of the ground.

Covered accommodation, which should preferably be on 2 sides of the ground....

The minimum covered accommodation must be 250

Spectator access must be denied to any grass banking so that it cannot be used for viewing the match.

Fair play to Guildford if they manage to get the grading but I reckon all the above will need working on.

But dont they get a year's grace with some of it ?

The guidelines state that for promotion they have to have a Grade E - currently they don't even have a Grade F ( which is the Step 5 level and includes the need for viewing from 3 sides of the ground )

Grade F - Step 5

Grade E - For Clubs Seeking Promotion from Step 5 - Step 4

If promoted, they then have until 31st March of the new season to achieve Grade D which they'll need to remain at Step 4

Grade D - Step 4

Plenty of work to do but let's hope they can pull some strings

Think that has been done, awaiting Planning Permission I believe.Leeway you may be right there Kroons, but no leeway shown to V.C.D Athletic last year.

I thought VCD did get leeway. They got into the Ryman's based on promises on what they would do to the ground within a year, failed to stick to their promises, and therefore got kicked out again
