Deserved victory for Cobham today in a performance well below par from us (Eversley). We were missing several key players today including influential captain Steve (Joey) Taylor who was involved in a motor bike accident yesterday. Fortunately Joey is ok but a big loss for the Boars as he will be out for the rest of the season with broken collar bone.

Eversley went 1-0 up with A Wiggins header from a corner as they domonated the first quarter with a slight Cobham looking very suseptical from set pieces. Scully then missed an open goal from 6 yards out to put us further ahead. The visitors came back well and looked far more dangerous on the break in the second quarter equalising on the half half hour and then missing a penalty. Losing Scully and Crag Smith to injury as well in the first half didn`t help either and a fitter, determined Cobham comfortably overcame their 2-1 deficit to draw level and then capture the points with 5 to go. No complaints although Cogham website's ' gulf in class' is a little strong in a poor game of equal chances and lacking real quality from both sides.

Nice to see Smudge and Green Fingers - two great guys who will always be welcome down at Fox Lane!

I agree with you that the ref wasn't brilliant. Far too weak in my opinion.

Funny how every time an Egham player went down it was greeted by cries of 'how many more times' by the Egham lot, yet every time a Camberley player went down it was because we were acting or time wasting. Camberley goalie and defender go down - time wasting. Camberley defender elbowed in the face - he's putting it on. As he walked down the tunnel for treatment leaving us down to ten men for a while I think Egham realised maybe he wasn't putting it on and the Egham player had actually contacted without the ref seeing. Five minutes later Egham goalie and defender go down - Egham fans and bench strangely silent.

Good to see JG in goal for Egham again though. Good lad he is.

As ever I will see it one way and you another. I admit that I thought the guy who had to go off was faking it, but was forced to change my mind, However, your keeper made a quick recovery! How about our goals, though? How often do you see two such blinders in one game? Still not won at your place in this League though...

Fine victory for the Trams today - their 6th league win on the road.

Early goal - Martin Smith 3rd minute - meant they had to soak up a lot of pressure but Ash didn't really figure all that much in the final 3rd.

Croydon showed a lot of spirit with a much changed team, fought for each other and some determined defending meant they just about deserved it in the end.

Yep a good early goal from Croydon & then defended well, but god did we over pass it in the final 3rd & then we did manage to have a shot at goal the Croydon keeper saved everything, however he wasn't the man of the match it was the croydon captain who did everything simple & looked after the ball better than anyone else on the pitch (well played). Also Good to see a decent Referee today allowing the game to just flow & let the players get on with it

South Park 7-1 Chobham

This result has been coming but unfortunatly for Chobham we took our frustration of missed chances in previous games on them. We raced into a 5 goal lead before half time, Stone and Smith scoring either side of a first half Lavery hattrick. Chobham made more of a game of it second half but the damage was done, they got a goal back but Smith got another two to complete his hattrick.

frimley 0 knaphill 4

In a rare Saturday afternoon off, I moseyed down to Frimley to see The Might Knappers add a fifth consecutive victory to their impressive New Year form. After a shaky start with neither team taking control, a Matt Baker header saw Chris Fox shot into an empty net for the first. The second half started with a superb 20 yard Joe Turner volley which stunned the small and very cold crowd. As the half progrees the Knappers looked more assured and Matt Baker's fantastic ball control saw him loft a shot from the edge of the box off the bar and into the net. Another Joe Turner pass saw Ricky Hogsden complete the scoring with a sublime chip for 4-0.

Excellent performances from everyone today, but special mention to Joe Turner & Brian Murphy who ran the midfield. Next up Cobham, also with a 100% recored this year. Something has to give. Match of the Day on Saturday 5th Feb. KO 2.00pm. Be there!!!!

Knaphill were well deserving of their win, but the open 30 mins were not comfortable for them and if Frimley had an end product, it might have been a different story. The Knaphill centre half did not have a good start and sliced too many clearances, but once Knaphill got in front there was only going to be one winner and it inspired Knaphill to play some good football and punish Frimley for silly mistakes.

It certainly appears that confidence is coming back to Knaphill after the shaky start to the season, but definately harder tests to come.

Westfield 1- 2 bedfont sports

Feisty game both teams trying to play football ! Sports took the lead when an unfortunate back header from cb went over keeper who had rushed off his line for turner to tap into an empty net!

Sports presseed with no real end

product with westfield doing the same! Sports doubled there lead in 2nd half

nduka azagba netting from a deflected shot ! Westfield who are not showing their true league posistion pressed an

took the game to us then a bad

clearance was duly returned by there 10 to lob our gk from 20 yrds! Westfield then pressed on but we defended well forcing us to counter attack through hedges who was twice cynically hacked down from behind the second time saw

a a big scuffle handbags really to which

i myself pulled my players an got theres

away then the lino some 40 yds away

gave my number to the ref with others then sent me off for trying to calm

platers down work that one out 2nd

yellow !! Awful refereeing what is the point of a ref telling a skipper to get to his players before the ref does if they then book you for trying to get players away! Good luck westfield ive said it before they shouldnt be where they are in the league whenever ive played em always a tough game ! Friendly after aswell hope all your ground plans come together!

Thought your no.16 (Turner?) was very impressive second half, albeit against a limited FG.

Staines Lammas 1 - 2 Farnham

Pretty even game with us having the better of the first half, but Lammas dominated the 2nd half.

We had a few chances to take the lead but didn't, until right on half time through a Jack Dillon volley.

Lammas came out strong after the break and equalised from a corner. Jonny Horner nicked the winner with 5 minutes to go.

Massive 3 points for us, but to be honest they deserved at least a point.

Sheerwater 1 Worcester Park 5 :frown:

One of those days for Sheerwater. Started very well and put WP on the back foot for the first 20 minutes. WP striker broke into the box and the persuing defender caught his heels and brought him down. Bit of a blow after the good start as WP tucked the pen away. 0-1. As the Sheers tried to regain momentum WP struck again to make it 0-2. Sheers then again started to get back into the game but with a couple of minutes to go before half time WP scored again to make it 0-3. An up hill struggle now for the second half and to be fair it didn't seem that Sheerwater deserved to be 3 goals down for how they played the first half.

Second half started the same as the first with Sheerwater looking to get back into the game and a few minutes in pulled a goal back and now were right up for the battle ahead. WP however are a very good side and well organised so proved difficult to penatrate and as the game went on frustrated the Sheers. Another panalty was awarded to WP when what looked like a 50-50 clashed as the ball arrived at the strikers feet was deemed by the assistant to have been a foul. WP scored from the spot again and the game was out of reach. With half an hour to go Sheers had a player sent off for a second bookable offence. WP took advantage of the extra man and went on to score again. Sheers did score again ;) only to be ruled offside. Not much went for us on the day but that happens in this position and the players are still up beat and looking forward to the next game.

Another disappointing result for Warlingham. Any comments Tucks or Brunty?

WARLINGHAM 0-0 CB HOUNSLOW

TRS Still picking myself up from the train at Farleigh that de-railed yesterday!! A better perfomance from wars but with only 3 points out of 15 and no wins in January it really was an awful month. Hounslow looked well organised, strong, physical and we matched them just with no end product. Had to make few changes before game. Brunty having x-ray this week on ankle injury he picked up last week which is giving him a bit of agro.

Clean sheet and a little better but still missing that something!Just to sat that Nathan Miles was outstanding today. He ha formed a strong partnership with James Cecil and is improving with every game. After being out sice august with a broken leg and only playing 4 ganes since then alot of creditt to him or his fitness and playing levels.

Yea fair summary BBM, i never knew you was to lad up top wud of said hi, a great game to watch, real up tempo game, it was a game of too halves for me, Farnham had a good first half and had some good chances to a grab a couple, i cleared to off the line and i think BBM had a ball bounce to him of the keeper at pace and missed from 6 yrds!!! Farnham scored a great goal by the right winger who i thought was decent all game. Second half we came out flying and really did dominate it and created some chances and equalised throught Tony Hadley, Hadley could of put us 2-1 up with a great spectacular effort crash of the bar, The Farnham Keeper made a great save from ryan curtis aswell, Then Farnham won it at the death when a corner was cleared all the defence pushed out apart from the left back who was still on the post and BBM turnt and shot and found a farnham player on his own in the box to slot home but was miles on side because of our left back. It was cruel and they say sometimes you need luck when your at the top and Farnham had it, but cant criticise the boys as we put on a good display and gave top of table boys a real game!!

smudge, what was your take on the eversley cobham game?

Cobham deserved their victory,Eversley came out the blocks fast and dominated for 25 mins,Cobham not having a worthwhile shot,Savage was instrumental in this, pulling the strings in midfield, but he later tired, which is to be expected at 37.Eversley's downfall was the same as the only time I had seen them previously, defend too high, open to the ball behind, with pace up front, which was to be their downfall. Some good football played by both sides, and Jurgs on the bench(in my opinion the best keeper I have seen in c.c.l.1 In 2 Seasons)but the young guy in goal done nothing wrong.Just wished Jurgs had said HI would of made my day,1 cobham player did give me a nod.

Jurgs always thought a Manager, managed the playing side of a Club, and the Players ie Deregistering and Signing of Players but in Cobham's case this does not happen as he Damian Ray explained before the game.Or is it Politics, you yourself did not even talk to me before or after the game, one player nodded hardly talking in my mind. Was shocked to see you on the bench though,as I put on another thread,in my opinion your the best C.C.L.1 Keeper I have seen in 2 Seasons watching.
