only me and Baldock get paid Newby!! Newby you got to stop blaming the refs for all your reds. thats 2 reds in 3 games now!! The skipper must show reponsibility!!!!

And how do you know this? hearsay?......me personally wouldnt like to play in a team where some get paid, that cant be good. It was bad enough when we signed a couple of players and they were horrified that we had to pay a signing on fee and pay for there own tracksuit.

 

 

Not hearsay at all. One div 1 club offered me a small amount but I turned it down to play premier division football.

 

I agree though, if one or two get paid and the rest don't it can make things difficult when the secret is found out.

totally agree, Baxter was the only 1 who got paid last year and the rest of the team felt cheesed of especially aswell that they thought baxter never really earnt his money, just turnt up and pocketed 70 every week. and were thinking were working our nuts for nothing.

We have 16 to 22 and I will tell u now div 1 would be a walk in the park...No intimidation as 8 of my under 19's rep'd the under 23's at county level v the Royal navy and they tried to kick them off the park ....won 5-1 with two of my boys getting 2 a piece and 3 of them now being touted by a pro prem club.

with the 1st team only doing ok. dev does not seem to have much faith in his ressies. weebs your around these young guys, and have played a resonable standard, you must know that the pound note talks. not just the cudos, of being at a higher standard club. what would make a player leave 1 club to go to another if it was not money. cant think of any players that have, for instance. left chertsey, where they were on good money. and signed for a div 1 club for nothing. i know we dont want to belive it but some clubs in div1 a paying players.coffee%20%282%29.gif

Redrup your not worth the money and this year backed by my teamates who will tell you the reds were due to bad refereeing as gav was also sent off in the harrow game as for sat i was genuinely sent off in a case of mistaken identity Plus your record over the last coupla seasons is worse than mine

I have to argree in part....Some of the lads need a bit longer whilst we have had a few looked at in 1st team matches this year which gives them the feel for it and understand the level they need to get to, It is then we try and get that level in them at training/ coaching / matches. Agree about the money part....But feel at all levels there is too much emphasis on it.

Weebs thats a bold statment for a mid table suburban premier side. Last two seasons we have been a lower mid table dive one side and have given Met Police a real run for their money. Divison one is a very tough physical and quick league and theres been many players that have come down from a higher level expecting an easy ride yet get a rude awakening.

 

ftfc stop fibbing...... One of ours was approached by your club in the summer and offered £££

 

Anyway £££ at division one is laughable - especially last season when after beating a dreadful Feltham side ( we werent much better that night ) we saw a good few of them getting their pay packets after the match !

 

Some people have got too much money to burn....

Gotta agree with NLN.

It's not as if Hampton & Richmond Reserves are a side that sends the rest of the Suburban League cowering away in fear. They're a decent side, but they're not that special. And their players have been known to lose the plot occasionally.

I haven't seen a vast amount of division 1 teams this season but I reckon South Park would beat them.
