Yeah Baxter did get paid last season and we won nothing, I think it causing problems if one players is getting paid and the rest are not. For example a poster on this forum was told that a player was coming back to play for Lammas and that the club had offered him £30 a game which was not true at all, as the player was on a wind up, the poster who is a decent player was fuming that the other player was being offered monies and told me if he gets paid then he will leave the club immediately. I agree with Weeble that his boys would do very well in this league, but if you fancy a friendly this week at your place Weeble were be very much interested.

Ellers would love to but we are away Wed at Eastleigh and the firsts at home tue add that to the fact the pitch needs some time off it due to one corner drainage and we can't get on it to train it would have to be an away fixture.

We were gonna apply to come into Div 1 but we were told if we won it we could not go into the Prem.......We would smash div 1 and if any team wants a friendly from div 1 we will come into it and show u what a team on no money can do. I am fed up about budgets, Whinging players and the whole CCL we have more money than u sh1te...... Some of my lads pay 30 quid a week to get to HRBFC tue, thur and sat and they are players that would knock the PAID players in div 1 and Prem off their pirch. Ask anyone at the Focus game on my kids .....They love playing for the sake of playing ...not for the finincial reward........And I will go one step further......... No maybe I won't.

 

Weeble, When the time comes for either of your talented players to move on to bigger and better things i.e £100 per week, and FIRST team football I am afraid you shall become a distant memory....................................until they are 30 years plus and come back to do you a favour. This the harsh reality unless your players lack ambition.

I for one openly promote my players to other clubs to progress them to higher levels that they can play in. If they are not ready for Blue Square I try and place in Ryman prem or div 1...I have also placed players at Egham, Sandhurst,Bedfont town and Leatherhead. I remember the managers that taught me my trade....I can only hope what we are doing at Hampton they remember in their careers and if not then I still wish them all the very best and hope that some things we have shown them they take with them and was one of the reasons for their progression.

Hate to say it JR but I can remember being in the bar at Camberley when Doring were handing out those brown envelopes and assaulting our players on the pitch. What goes around comes around.

I might aswell add my 5p worth. Do i think Div 1 level should be paid? NO. Do i think any team pay in Div 1? NO. Do some players in Div 1 like to think they get paid? YES.

 

Couple of weeks ago we played Farleigh Rovers and one of there players said "Warlingham have a wage bill of £600 a week, i know this because i used to play with there keeper at Dorking and he's gone there".

 

Now do i believe this? NO

I think that is a bit naive to think no one in Div 1 gets paid. There are certainly a couple of teams who are giving a little. Maybe not the whole team, but some of the key players in key positions.

And how do you know this? hearsay?......me personally wouldnt like to play in a team where some get paid, that cant be good. It was bad enough when we signed a couple of players and they were horrified that we had to pay a signing on fee and pay for there own tracksuit.
