I apologise for not being sufficiently well off to give stuff that's cost me a fortune to purchase away for free.

 

The Margate FC history site has been off for some time now and I understand from Jeff that it is unlikely to come back in the near future.

 

Just a word of thanks to Jeff for the time and effort that he put in to making it such a great site which has given me, and surely many others, so much pleasure since it went on line.

Thanks Gary and Geoff for your kind words about the site. Had a good innings - 9 and a bit years - but it's gone and won't be coming back I'm afraid. It's actually been gone for about 3 weeks and hardly anybody's noticed so that just about sums it up !

A great loss although you say no one has noticed in the last three weeks, it is a site that i amoung many hundreds if not thousands have used and would like to use again. As a reference guide it is invaluable. I appreciate the effort in time and resources you must have put in, please, please, please reconsider.

i do look in regularly -and feel guilty that i have not in the last month or so.

 

i cannot improve on the best wishes of others-and thank Jeff for his previous efforts ,and genuinely just adding a small percentage of additional pleasure/interest in life with his site.

 

It will be massively missed despite what jeff may think-and maybe Jeff can take up on Ian's offer short term-and you never know-in time-someone may be prepared to pay for it/take it over.

 

If not-it certainly needs to have a place in the 'wall of fame ' at the New HDP

Absolutely agree that it will be massively missed and if there is an opportunity to preserve it then Jeff please do consider it. I've used it on quite a few occasions this season and had assumed its absence was only temporary.

A massive loss to everone with an interest in Margate Football Club, the superb History Site will be sorely missed (despite what you may think at the moment Jeff). Thank you for the time and information we have enjoyed over the last few years Jeff.

Have tried three or four times this month to access the site with no luck. I too thought it must be a temporary thing. Sad to hear that it will not be coming back. An invaluable resource. Hope it can be saved.
