I reckon Mario meant that ya know! Good sportsmanship though as you say, it's things like that that make me keep faith with the game!

 

Shame there's no sound on the video, I'd like to have heard the crowds reaction to the incident (not that it looked like there was many there!)

I remember Paul Donovan doing that way back in the late 90's I think it was against Wealdstone when they played at Edgeware. Donovan kicked the ball back to the Goalkeeper from the half-way line, the Goalkeeper fumbled it and it went in. That time though the Referee didn't allow the goal though.

in fair play well done to Boreham wood, I think this happened a couple of seasons back at Grays

The way Grays have been playing the last few seasons I wouldn't be surprised if that was their goal of the season!! Lost 2-0 away to Waltham Abbey today, 14th in Div 1 North.
