Wholeheartidly happy for STFC and its loyal fans, BUT and its a big BUT, if any of you guys were a fiscal institution, would you lend money to Deaner? he has a history of Bankruptcy, non payment of bills, destroying football clubs,The icing on the cake for me would be a new consortium, or a more experienced developer being involved, trust has to be earned!

It has been rumoured that Taylor Woodrow would be dealing with all the housing involved within the project so that is one less thing for MWD to worry about, but yes, I'm still worried about where he'll get the rest from and why the council are being so trusting of him.

Did I read that Deaner needs to find £250,000 for a feasibility report ? Where is he going to get that kind of money from ? I get the impression that this proposed development is too big for Deaner on his own and this development will never get off the blocks unless there is a consortium with financial clout behind it.

The £250k mentioned is not necessarily the cost of the feasibility study. It's the level at which the Council's liability is capped in the event they choose to go ahead with a scheme but not with Martyn Deaner's consortium.

 

They have agreed to reimburse Deaner upto a maximum of £250k in the event that they choose to pursue a scheme but with a different consortium or developer. If, following the feasibility study, they decide to do nothing then Deaner picks up the tab which may be more or less than the £250k quoted.

He's got that covered too...those who are ear mark in the plan and it goes through will pay for feasiblity study as part of the gains...
