I note that Sjj2112 was in attendance at Newton Aycliffe v Washington yesterday in the Northern League Division 2, he certainly gets about doesn't he

Bletchley Town v The 61 FC Luton Division 2 Cup match was abandonned due to a player injury, annyone know what happened and the injury recieved?

 

 

 

I got there at half time with 61FC one goal up. They doubled the lead at the start of the second with a visiting forward was put through all on his own in the centre of the park, carried the ball and finished unchallenged from 15 yards. The third goal arrived with about 10 minutes gone an excellent curling shot from the edge of the box. 61FC could have added more with some good half chances and Bletchley were creating some decent opportunities as well. On 73 mins a Bletchley cross from the right saw some confusion between the 61FC keeper and a defender. The keeper fumbled and the ball went towards the far post and an unmarked Bletchley player. The keeper scrambled across his box and challenged the player just as he got his shot away & there was a sickening crack from the Bletchley player's leg. The ambulance arrived quite quickly but after about 5 mins they still hadn't started to move the injured player. Having retreated to the warmth of my car and by this point just got the feeling back in my toes I decided to head home. At 0-3 a comeback was never on the cards

 

I was on the half way line on the opposite side but it looked just to be a nasty accident. The home players didn't react to the incident so they must have seen it the same.

 

Best wishes to the Bletchley player and hope that the injury isn't as bad as it sounded

the bletchley player involved was there winger maca . he has broke his leg in 2 different places
