Well done Mewc. Thought you had a good game tonight. Makes a pleasant change for a lino to be fit enough to stand in line with the keeper to make sure he places the ball inside the box before taking a kick. Most of the doddering old fools running the line in the CCL let keepers take the kick from anywhere as they need to be up by the half way line when the keeper kicks the ball in order to be somewhere near play. No doubt as you get older this part of your game will go downhill.

See more comments from someone that really doesnt know. Most referees instructions will tell an Assistant to only check goal kicks every so often and not all the time. So they are only following the instructions given

The Referee:

• enforces the Laws of the Game

 

Law 16 -

The ball is kicked from any point within the goal area by a player of the defending team

 

 

So you're admitting most refs aren't doing their job properly if they're telling assistants they only have to check every now and then. Is there anything else they only do random checks on?
