Well a good win against a decent Bashley team, the team didn't react to the kids 80's theme tunes in the first half but when we moved to classic 80's pop in the second half they really delivered.

 

Poor crowd to see an entertaining game with highlights including "Take on me" "500 miles" by the proclaimers and couple of goals by Bernard and Parsons.

Some great singing guys. You had some of us on the terraces in stitches. We were tempted to ask if you did requests!

 

A great win tonight and a well earned three points against one of the best footballing sides in the division. There was some great football played yet again. An excellent all round team performance tonight with Jake standing out in particular for me tonight. A special mention must also go to Ben, George, and Tom. Three talented youngsters with bundles of potential and a bright future ahead of them. Let's hope that we still have a club where we can see them grow with us.

True words, I genuinely believe if we could survive and somehow stay in the Prem then we could push for promotion to Conf Sth next season. Strong first 11 and good cover on the bench and excellent prospects in the young players.

 

 

Oh, and yes we do requests, the keeper was having a bit of a laugh as well, although slightly confused....

Yep totally agree the singing was awesome last night more of the same Saturday lads! Really disappointing turnout last night maybe a mixture of the weather and also i no one or two people were a bit disappointed it was full admission for a game they had already paid for once before! Have to say i was quite happy to pay in the current position. If only we hadnt had the money problems this season we could have been very close to the top of this division! A quick word too for Bashley who i thought were one of the best passing sides i have seen this season!

A real Diva's performance of 'Under the moon of love' with none other than Mr Bobby Dazzler on lead vocals, even I had a chuckle !

 

With regards to the full admission fee, we had a directive from the league that the replayed fixture was to be played on cup-tie terms ie Bashley to receive their travelling costs plus half of any profit from the game so we had no option on that and both clubs ending up making a loss after taking out the expenses of match officials, floodlights, etc.

 

What certainly didn't help [once again] was having football on terrestrial TV, When will the powers that be realise they're killing the non-league game by having so many live fixtures on the telly week in week out, partuicularly in the winter months when it's hard to motivate people to leave the nice warm comforts of home to watch their local side in action. .

Totally agree with your comments on tv football Windsor Sec! Along with Windsor, Brackley, Leamington and Tiverton all had their lowest attendances of the season last night!

I don't know how much of the match you actually record but you certainly catch some great moments on film. Keep up the good work and I hope there are more games for you to video over the coming weeks and months

We generally just click start when a W&E attack looks in the offing, then stop when it breaks down. Tends to be 30 or 40 clips each game ranging from 2 seconds (when we give possession away quickly!) to 40 seconds or so.

 

I wish I'd have taken a cli[p or 2 of you lot singing during the game as that would have been a hoot to post up on here - next time eh?!! (Just make sure you you all lubricate the throats well beforehand!)
