weather we or you agree with it. its the law mate and we have to get used to it, but its the same if someone makes gay or race remarks you cant say things like its a mans job blah blah its 2011 and weather we like it or not times have changed.

their remarks were shocking not because of their sexist nature but simply because they were so infantile and childish.

Sad loss for Sky Sports.....despite whatever these comments are, we have lost two top hosts who have been iconic with our football for over ten years.

Bit like BBC losing two stars in Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand...own goal (excuse the pun) by Sky me thinks

I think there's something in that but I'd be surprised if anyone was truly shocked by the "offside" remarks, in fact they are exactly the sort of remark people would expect. They just got caught at it and the PC brigade all thought "Aha, perfect opportunity to behave like someone just farted in front of the Queen". Perfect opportunity to clean house and get rid of an anachronism.

Never known much about Richard Keys but he's worse, sniggering along in the background like a schoolboy.

Ridiculous sacking. I'm not excusing the behavour but surely there were alternative sanctions, e.g. suspension, re-educating via workshops etc.

Sky haven't only lost a very good pundit/analyst, but also the opportunity to address something that is inherent in certain quarters of the media and society in general.

They've thrown the baby out with the bath water.

Firstly Andy Gray isn't that good, in fact I think he talks b*ll*ks most of the time. However what I think is the worse thing about all this, is that some people are trying to justify it by saying it was off air. WTF! Thats like the two faced bigots who talk to say a black person, then behind closed doors to their mates it's all I hate black people. I'm sorry I would have had more respect if Andy Gray would have said it on air. How thick is he in this day and age to air a view that in most quaters would be deemed inappropriate? How many men officiate female sports, yet I don't hear women making the same sort of comments. I'm of the mind that the PC brigade have gone too far on most things and letting women officate in football to make a point is one thing but if they are good enough why not? They can't be any worse then some of the s**t that we have to put up with. No one seems to mention the fact that the young women had a good game and made one very good call on an offside decision.

If Andy Gray had a made a racist remark, joke or no joke, would people be defending him?

i dont think they would have been sacked if it wasnt for the fact that Rupert Murdochs news corporation is trying to buy out BSKYB and what with the News of the World phone hacking scandal Murdoch didnt need anymore controversy surrounding his media empire.

sexism at this level exists in all walks of life, and it is mostly tongue in cheek,i used to work in an office as a pretty 20 year old and was always getting treated like a piece of meat and i fckng loved it

comparing what Andy Gray has said to racism isn't right, racism is a far serious subject, sexism isn't unless it is,say restricting someone from furthering their life, comments like what Gray has said are everyday life and just banter. Not seriously meant to hurt someone, still think the blokes a cnt though and always have

No sympathy for Andy Gray, what an idiot. Here's something who's in the course of suing News of the World, meaning News International would be looking for any excuse to sack him, and he gives them the perfect reason without them even needing to search. Really, anyone on here, if you knew you were on thin ice in the warehouse or office, would make a stupid comment that you know might get back to your bosses? What a fool

It isn't the comment about Sian Massey that was offensive, it's something all of us have said in jest, and besides there's plenty of sexist comment said about us in Loose Women which no bloke gives a monkeys about. We know it's all banter. But the comments he made to Charlotte Jackson and the gestures he made, if any of us done that at work to a woman colleague we'd be sacked, no doubt.

One less dull pundit and a wage bill less (over 30 grand a week just for being a pundit, ridiculous money) that sky viewers have to pay is no loss

What a load of [censored]...!!

This sums up everything that is wrong with society today. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against women officials, but part of football is banter, the banter it creates between teams, individuals, fans and groups.

Women not knowing the offside rule is a long age joke, like those about mothers in law, Irish etc etc.

What was said by Andy Gray was no worse than you hear everyone lunch time on that show "lose Women" where they make coments about men not being able to multi task etc etc but no one complains because it's just a bit of banter....even if it's on air.

Who have Andy Grays comments hurt, I mean really hurt, exactly.....no one!!!

As a women in football you have to expect that there is gonna be some banter, if you don't like it, don't get involved it's as simple as that...!!

I do not see how a programme like loose woman can survive? While generally the comments on that show when talking about men are said in a tongue in cheek manner, ..............they do mean what they say.

These two idiots on skys biggest crime was to say what they said in a derogatory tone, not tongue in cheek,...............and also mean what they say.

The moral of this story is keep your tongue in your cheek at all times............you never know what you can get away with, even murder!
