Yep Urchino, strikes me as strange, this whole situation. Bradley Allen is a class player, one I'd love to see at the Urchins, but what about the centre of our defence. One can only assume there is a method to all this madness, I can't personally see it yet! Anyway chaps, regretably, having missed last Saturday's game as I was away on a stag-do, I'm also going to have to give tomorrow's a miss. Sorry, but I've been offered a ticket to the West Ham v Reading game. Given the going's on with Pardew and Reading this week, it makes for quite an atmosphere. Rest assured, there'll be a phone call at half and full time to the ground to check the result. Good luck!!!

Thought I'd give my two pennyworth on the departees

Marso: A rock in two promotions, always urging other players on and making vital tackles.

Mooro: Only with us since March but played a full part in the promotion

Rizzo: suffered from a ghastly tackle at Barton when playing well, but fought his way back, I know I saw him working on it.

Foxy: Also played his part in two promotions, linking defence into attack, and playing Centre Half when asked!

good morning you scruffy lot....now stand to attention and listen....you too Uncle you old trouble maker...

 

right then....firstly Unc was right about the four departures...GB is under instruction from the board to take the club full time as of now so all players will have to fit into that mandate...training all week and playing twice when selected or in the Capital league...

 

clearly Marso..Rizzo and Mooro (who all had good careers)...didn't fit into that...foxy was released because he didn't fit into Georges plans and George felt that he should be playing to continue his career...fair enough...

 

Bradley Allen can play as a striker and is also a very good midfield playmaker in the Paul Scholes mold...he has signed on a months loan so GB can have a look at him....there is an old saying in football...you can never have to many strikers and all strikers get judged on goals....GB is concerened that our strikers haven't been scoring as yet this year and he's right as well....we wont win to much with 8 goal from 8 games will we...(also dont forget that Jonah is injured)

 

as for defenders...well...GB is looking for a central defender but also remember that he's a 4-4-2 man and likes his defenders speedy and able to play the ball out....our big centre backs last year may have been able to clear high balls but invariably they came back in and kept us under pressure...

 

we have a good defensive record so far this year so facts say...we cant score but we aint being scored against...defender or striker needed...??

 

we all have opinions...good job as well...but GB knows what he's doing...GC also knows what he's doing...lets see what happens and let 'em get on with it...

 

great support as well so far you lot...keep it up....and you Lord ought to be ashamed of yourself...bloody west ham....who are they.... <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />...

 

good luck to the boys again today...a win COULD get us into the top six if results go our way....

Please don't think I'm winding you up (as if!!) but Chris Moore played for us today and did so superbly. Commanding performance, potentially man of the match (don't know who actually got it) and to round it off, scored our third with a cracking header. I feel you could be a wee bit upset about losing him? He certainly didn't look out of place against Conference opposition, even though Leigh RMI are crap.........and only had 9 men (hee,hee,hee,hee....) <img src="/images/graemlins/icon29.gif" alt="" />
