D.T.10.Only a suggestion but why not contact Whitelaw and see if a Friendly could be arranged against Guernsey F.A X1.Could serve 2 purposes you will have a game to play, and you could also act as Guinea Pigs for C,C.L. Div 1 sides in the proposals before the LEAGUE. 25 Flights to be booked for Players,Managers,Club Officials,25 Hotel places to be booked, not forgetting 3 Officials Krooner,Footy Mad,Mewcenary may be up for it, will have FREE Flights and Hotel Accomodation..Then you can advise how much time travelling, from point A to B,The added cost of Insurance,Health Care Insurance. What the Facilities were like, did the Hotel Accomodation include Food. How much did it cost you to Park at Gatwick, and any other subsidiary costs. You could then Report back to the League and other Member Clubs if such a proposal is viable, not like the LEAGUES PROPOSAL of a YES or NO vote by the 6th Feb. Your Supporters will have to fund themselves,Flight £40,Hotel £40,Car Parking Gatwick £10,£4 entrance fee, well worth it to see Sandhurst play in Guernsey.BEWARE OF STRANGERS BEARING GIFTS.

To be honest, the incidents in the game overshadowed what was a surprisingly dull game. Epsom are on a good run, especially away from home and we are as well. They have got a few lads back and the infamous game at Merstham was the last one we failed to win, so I was a bit wary. We started slowly and this set the tone fro the day I think, then we scored and improved a bit, and added another good one before half time. In between they had a couple of chances and our keeper was on top form, so we went in at 2-0. They were better in the second half and again our keeper made a couple of good saves, but the game never took off. We were probably sluggish having had no game for a fortnight, so a 3-0 win against them is a major boost from our point of view. The referee was poor I am afraid and having had him before we were unfortunately not surprised. This time we probably got the better of things decision wise. The left back had been booked earlier on and it may have been a bit soft, although his lunge for the second gave the ref no option. Holden came on at half time and frustration maybe got the better of him and he had a pop at the ref, which was a bit daft knowing how he had been, and he got a red for foul and abusive. We also had a lad who who seemed to respond in a similar way to a decision, and he got a yellow, so I can see the sense of injustice there. Once they went down to 10 the game died, then after Holden went it was simply damage limitation from them and we sealed a good victory with a well worked headed goal. The game had been played in a good spirit, yet the Epsom boys said they had at least 6 booked and two off, and we had three booked. So the afternoon football wise was a disappointment to me, except for the result and the 90 minutes workout our lads mostly got, whilst Lyndon will have a couple of lads missing for some games which he could do without I am sure. There was one incident that shows how referees do have a tough time, though. Our first goal was fired home from about 8-10 yards and an E&E player dived to get a hand to it, which he did. It went in anyway, so a goal was given, but the referee still booked the player. The general concensus was that he was wrong, as the goal stood. My view was that he had deliberately hanlded the ball and this is a booking. Had he stopped a goal he would have been sent off but, as the goalscoring opportunity was clearly not stopped, only a yellow would be issued. So I reckon that he got this one right as the intent was clearly there, which was not the general view on the day - from both sides. It probably sums the day up to be fair, as very little else springs to mind for me. Still, 3 more points and trying to keep the pressure up. And, anyone who insists this is a 2 horse race is well mistaken, believe me.
