I just cannot believe that Guildford City have arranged 3 games in 4 Days, this early in the Season,F.A. Vase,Surrey Cup,Premier Cup,Saturday's game will need to be Won else a Replay would give Leiston a big advantage. The more games you play in quick succession the more you risk injury to your Players, now I dont know what size squad they have but it is a risk I would not take, with the League being Top priority. Will they put it all in ,in the games against R.P.V.,Molesey in the lesser Cups,I think not,but beating a Team that is your nearest rival to winning the League is paramount for Confidence.A MISTAKE IN MY OPINION,and also sets a precedent for later in the season, they cannot moan if they have to play 3 games in 4 days.

Their website lists 24 player pen-pics. Reckon a fair few squad players will be in against RPV on Monday but have to say I'm sure they know what their doing so wouldn't knock the decision

Smudge I personally think kevin has done the right thing. Fixtures are mounting up already and why not play 3 games in 4 days. If he has the players available which i think he has it definitely wont be an advantage to the other sides. Vase and league priority which means squad players to be used monday and tuesday. Good decision to get games in now seeing as you did predict snow in feb smudge!

WELL SAID TUCKS, TOTALLY AGREE, MAKES SENSE WHETHER THE GAMES MOUNT UP NOW OR WILL LATER IF BAD WEATHER IS DUE.

GET THE NON-SO IMPORTANT SURREY SENIOR & CCL PERMIER CUPS OUT OF THE WAY AND USE GUILDFORD SQUAD PLAYERS WHO WILL BE GOOD ANYWAY PLUS ANY PLAYERS MAKING RETURN FROM INJURY AND SUSPENSION, 'COS NO DOUBT THE VASE WHICH IS ALSO A MONEY EARNER & THE LEAGUE ARE OF UPMOST IMPORTANT FOR THEIR CLUB. ALSO REMEMBER. IF GUILDFORD DRAW SATURDAY, THEY WILL NEED FRESH LEGS FOR THE RETURN TOMORROW WEEK AT LEISTON.

Happens higher up too. Wimbledon's schedule next week:

Tues: Bath City (Away)

Weds: Colliers Wood Utd (Away)

Fri: Gateshead (Away)

Although CWU is bound to be called off ;)

HA HA ! PLAYERS AT C.W. MUST GET SO FRUSTRATED HAVING SO MANY GAMES CALLED OFF

EACH SEASON !

IN FAIRNESS TRS, THE TEAM AGAINST C.W. WILL ONLY BE AFC RESERVES/YOUTH AND POSSIBLY A FEW 1ST TEAM SQUAD PLAYERS ?

WHERE YOU OFF FILMING TOMORROW TRS ?

WAS IT THE RIGHT CHOICE BY GUILDFORD MANAGER THINKING THAT THESE TIES WOULD BE EASY AND GOT SOMEWHAT OVER CONFIDENT ? Guildford started with 9 of the 11 that began against Leiston, with Heavy coming in and, in my opinion, adding to what they had. Other than that, Penson started, whereas he came on as a sub Saturday. We started with pretty much our side from Saturday, except made two changes, one in central midfield and one up front. The way the game was played it was clear from my point of view that both sides were intent on winning the game. I think we deserved the victory overall, taking a lead just before half time, only for Greaves to capitalise on some sloppy defending within minutes, then for us to score an excellent second a few minutes after. Second half was nip and tuck and they equalised through Camara and it was game on, with Guildford looking like they may turn the screw, only for us to get back into it and score a third with about ten to go. We then had a lad sent off for a two yellows and battled lke hell to hold the lead and deservedly did so. After the game the Guildford view was that we deserved it but the league was the main thing - which it is - and they were glad to be out of the cups. I would love to still be in the Vase and cannot think anyone would feel otherwise. It is my view, and I have aired this previously, that any side I send out is there to win the game and it would be wrong for them to do otherwise. We are in 3 cups at present. The Surrey Senior we have Ash at home and then a potential trip to Carshalton, who my mate Mark Butler runs and I would love to pit my wits against them - as will all my players. I am not 100% about which round it is, but I would imagine 4 games maximum to win it. We are also in the CCL cup of course, with a trip to RPV or Farleigh to come. After that it is maybe another 2 games to win it. Finally, we are in the Southern Combination, with Sandhurst at home to come. This cup is one that most sides use for squad players, as the two squads for the postpones game the other day confirmed, so with about 20 players being the norm for most of us, it is workable but not an inconvenience. Should we get to either or both of the main finals, it will be something to look forward to and the games will be arranged towards the end of the season and would not be too likely to impose on our league programme. I honestly feel that the cup runs enhance our season and the longer we are in them the better for team morale and game time. The fans love it and occasionally it can take away the daily grind of chasing league points. Prior to the game I was perfectly relaxed about things, as my view was it would have no bearing on who wins the league, although our aim was to maintain what is an extremely good run of results. Like most sides we will be doing Saturday/Tuesday and this can obviously have an impact, but we know before the season starts that this is possible. Players prefer playing to training and it makes things easier as a manager to get people up for games rather than training, so I am happy with our progression. My players would have been gutted to have gone out last night, because they wanted to win the game, nothing else. It will be a happier camp at training tomorrow than it would have been had we lost. The league is another thing and both us, Guildford and the chasing pack willl get on the with this on Saturday and that will deal with itself. Last night was a cup victory, another good performance, and a good night. We all have different views on this, and I totally respect Kevin's decision to play these games and possible reasons behind it, so no crticism there. One more thing we all agreed on last night - the poor referee was shocking and totally out of his depth! With only a handful of games scheduled for this week, why not get someone more experienced to do such a high profile game? I do not like to dig referees out in general, and actually feel the blame lies with those that appointed the poor chap, not him. If I played a kid who could not cope with such a big game and he was shown up, I would take full responsibilty for the error, as I would think that I should know better. We had a lad dismissed fro two cheap cards who will now miss a game, and a lad booked when their full back smashed a free kick up his [****!!****] from a few yards and was deemed not to have retreated! Never mind, bring on the next game!
